KAUR, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Bencana banjir bandang kembali melanda Kabupaten Kaur, Bengkulu. Puluhan hektar sawah produktif di kawasan Hamparan Kendawaian, Desa Ulak Bandung, Kecamatan Muara Sahung, luluh lantak terseret arus deras pada Selasa malam (4/11/2025).
Peristiwa ini menimbulkan kerugian material yang diperkirakan mencapai ratusan juta rupiah dan memukul telak perekonomian petani setempat.
Kronologi dan Dampak Kerusakan
Banjir bandang ini dipicu oleh curah hujan yang sangat tinggi di wilayah tersebut. Sawah yang seharusnya siap panen kini rata dengan tanah, menyisakan kepasrahan bagi warga Desa Ulak Bandung.
Kepala Desa Ulak Bandung, Didi Hirawansyah, menjelaskan bahwa lokasi sawah yang terdampak memang berada di pinggiran Sungai Kendau. Namun, luapan air sungai kali ini dianggap sebagai yang terparah.
“Sawah yang sedang berbuah dan tinggal menunggu masa panen, kini lenyap tersapu banjir,” ujar Didi Hirawansyah dengan nada prihatin.
Meskipun dilaporkan tidak ada korban jiwa, kerugian material ditaksir mencapai puluhan hingga ratusan juta rupiah.
Dampak terbesarnya adalah hilangnya mata pencaharian utama bagi banyak keluarga petani di Ulak Bandung.
Harapan dan Seruan kepada Pemerintah Daerah
Saat ini, belum ada langkah konkret yang dapat dilakukan warga secara mandiri untuk mengatasi dampak buruk ini, apalagi untuk mencegah kejadian serupa di masa mendatang.
Masyarakat Ulak Bandung sangat berharap agar pemerintah daerah segera mengambil tindakan nyata dalam menanggulangi bencana alam ini.
Bantuan darurat dan solusi jangka panjang sangat dinantikan agar para petani dapat kembali bercocok tanam dan memulihkan roda perekonomian mereka yang terpuruk akibat musibah ini.
