Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Komisi III Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat Republik Indonesia (DPR RI) kembali menunjukkan komitmennya untuk mendengar berbagai aspirasi masyarakat terkait Rancangan Undang-Undang tentang Perubahan atas Undang-
Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1981 tentang Hukum Acara Pidana (RUU KUHAP). Mulai Senin, 21 Juli 2025, Komisi III akan mengundang kembali Yayasan Lembaga Bantuan Hukum Indonesia (YLBHI) serta berbagai organisasi advokat untuk diskusi mendalam.
Langkah ini diambil menyikapi dinamika pembahasan RUU KUHAP, di mana YLBHI sebelumnya menyuarakan permintaan penghentian pembahasan, sementara organisasi advokat mengusulkan kelanjutan proses legislasi.
“Mulai Senin, 21 Juli 2025, Komisi III DPR RI akan mengundang kembali YLBHI sebagai elemen masyarakat yang meminta penghentian pembahasan RUU KUHAP, dan organisasi advokat yang mengusulkan terus dibahasnya RUU KUHAP,” ujar Ketua Komisi III DPR RI, Habiburokhman, dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Minggu (20/7).

Habiburokhman juga mempersilakan elemen masyarakat lainnya yang memiliki aspirasi terkait RUU KUHAP untuk mengajukan permohonan Rapat Dengar Pendapat Umum (RDPU) bersama Komisi III DPR RI.
Hal ini diharapkan dapat menjadi wadah yang efektif untuk menyerap masukan dari berbagai pihak.
“Daripada hanya melakukan aksi demo, akan lebih baik jika mereka masuk agar aspirasi mereka lebih mudah diserap oleh seluruh fraksi,” tambahnya.
Undangan ini menegaskan kembali upaya DPR RI untuk memastikan bahwa RUU KUHAP disusun dengan melibatkan partisipasi publik yang luas, guna menghasilkan produk legislasi yang komprehensif dan akomodatif terhadap kebutuhan keadilan masyarakat.
