Melakukan gotong royong bersama, memberikan sosialisasi tentang kamtibmas, memfasilitasi keluhan masyarakat lewat program jumat curhat dan lainnya adalah sejumlah contoh kegiatan positif yang dapat memberikan kesan positif di hati masyarakat.
Teranyar, Kapolres Belu, AKBP Richo Nataldo Devallas Simanjuntak, S.I.K, bersama Wekapolres Belu, KOMPOL I Putu Surawan, S.IP. para Perwira, Brigadir dan ASN Polri, turun menyambangi warga di kampung Fohomea, RT 31, kelurahan Manumutin, kecamatan Kota Atambua, kabupaten Belu, jumat (28/7/2023).
Kehadiran anggota kepolisian sejak pukul 07.00 wita di daerah perbukitan ini sedikit mengagetkan warga yang tidak menyangka tempatnya didatangi oleh ratusan anggota Polres Belu yang kompak mengenakan pakaian olahraga hitam putih.
Kegiatan yang dilakukan pertama kalinya oleh Polres Belu ind iawali dengan apel pagi yang dilaksanakan di sebuah lapangan yang berada tidak jauh dari pemukiman warga Fohomea.
Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Kapolres Belu mengatakan, tujuan dilaksanakannya apel pagi di salah satu daerah terisolir ini adalah untuk mendekatkan Polri dengan masyarakat sekaligus melihat dari dekat permasalahan yang dialami oleh masyarakat.
“Hari ini sengaja Saya perintahkan semua untuk melaksanakan apel di hari jumat di lokasi ini tujuannya supaya kita semakin dekat dengan masyarakat, semakin melihat kesulitan atau kesusahan yang ada di masyarakat. Ini bukan masalah cari panggung atau tidak tapi lebih pada masalah hati kita”ungkap Kapolres Belu.
“Kita sudah sama-sama tahu dan mendengar masih banyak masyarakat susah di wilayah kita, salah satu contohnya saudara-saudara kita yang ada di Fohomea ini. Di kampung yang berada di kota namun terisolir ini, rekan-rekan bisa melihat jalan yang rusak, listrik tidak ada, tinggal dirumah tidak layak huni dan air juga susah. Rekan-rekan harus bersyukur dengan hidup yang sudah punya pekerjaan dan bisa menikmati semua fasilitas yang ada. Jadi selesai apel ini, mari kita semua berbaur dengan masyarakat, cari tahu permasalahannya Apa yang bisa kita perbuat untuk mereka, kita perbuat sesuai dengan kemampuan yang punya”lanjut Kapolres Belu.

Terkait dengan kondisi yang dialami oleh warga Fohomea saat ini, Kapolres Belu mengatakan dirinya telah melakukan upaya dimana dalam waktu dekat masyarakat setempat dapat menikmati listrik.
“Perlu rekan-rekan ketahui, minggu lalu Saya hadir disini dalam program jumat curhat dan hati ini sedih melihat kenyataan masyarakat yang hidup tanpa listrik. Punya HP mau cas terpaksa ke kampung sebelah dan membayar 2 ribu. Kalau keluar malam dan mau belajar, harus nyalakan senter HP.Kenyataan ini yang ingin Saya tunjukan ke rekan-rekan sehingga hari ini kita semua hadir di tempat ini”ungkap Kapolres Belu.
“Setelah mendengar curhatan warga minggu lalu, Saya coba merespon dimana dalam waktu 1 minggu terakhir Saya kordinasi dengan Pihak PLN mengenai rencana pemasangan listrik dan kendala PLN sini tidak ada tiang. Saya langsung kordinasi dengan PLN kupang dan direspon langsung 30 tiang”tambah Kapolres Belu.
Selain listrik, Orang nomor satu di Polres Belu ini menambahkan, dirinya juga telah berhasil memenuhi kerinduan masyarakat akan air bersih dengan akan dibangunnya sumur bos untuk warga yang sejak tahun 2008 hidup dalam kesulitan akan air bersih.
“Pagi ini saya sudah cek pemasangan tiang, tinggal 1 sampai 2 tiang yang belum dipasang sampai di tengah pemukiman warga. Dan Saya sudah bicara dengan pihak PLN dimana sebelum tanggal 17 agustus, desa yang terisolir ini akan dialiri listrik”ungkap Kapolres Belu yang disambut tepuk tangan anggota dan masyarakat yang hadir saat apel pagi tersebut.
Dan juga sumur bor akan kita bangun disini dan tempatnya sudah kita siapkan. Dengan apa yang sudah kita lakukan ini, Kita semua telah mencetak sejarah. Bukan Kapolresnya yang hebat dan disini tidak ada yang hebat tapi ini usaha bersama atas nama Polres Belu. Saya minta kepada rekan-rekan, niat untuk berbuat baik dengan sesama harus ditanamkan dalam pemikiran rekan-rekan. Selalu ingat omongan ini karena berbuat baik tidak ada ruginya selagi kita mampu dan mau berusaha membantu sesama yang membutuhkan”pungkas Kapolres Belu.
Usai apel pagi, Kapolres Belu bersama Wakapolres Belu serta seluruh Perwira dan anggota yang hadir, menyapa dan berbaur bersama masyarakat yang sedang beraktivitas di depan rumah mereka masing-masing.
