Kementerian LHK dan Bareskrim Gencarkan Perburuan Sumber Cesium, Impor Besi-Baja Sementara Dihentikan
Serang, JURNAL TIPIKOR– Pemerintah menaikkan status penanganan kasus paparan radiasi radioaktif Cesium-137 (Cs-137) di kawasan industri Cikande, Kabupaten Serang, Banten, dari penyelidikan menjadi Penyidikan.
Langkah tegas ini diambil menyusul penilaian serius pemerintah terhadap dampak luas yang mengancam keselamatan publik.
Menteri Lingkungan Hidup, Hanif Faisol Nurofiq, hari ini di Serang menegaskan bahwa akselerasi hukum ini adalah bagian integral dari upaya terpadu pemerintah untuk menuntaskan kasus.
“Dari sisi hukum, hari ini status penanganan kasus telah dinaikkan oleh penyidik Bareskrim Polri, dari penyelidikan menjadi penyidikan,” kata Menteri Hanif.
Dua Skenario Sumber Radiasi Diburu
Penelusuran sumber radiasi Cs-137 kini difokuskan pada dua skenario utama yang sedang didalami secara serius oleh Bareskrim:
- Importasi Bahan Berbahaya: Kemungkinan berasal dari importasi scrap besi dan baja yang terkontaminasi bahan radioaktif.
- Kebocoran Komersial: Potensi kebocoran atau pelimbahan dari penggunaan Cesium-137 untuk kepentingan komersial.
Menteri Hanif menambahkan, tim penyidik Bareskrim telah diperluas dan mendapat dukungan dari Badan Intelijen Negara (BIN) serta BAPETEN.
“Semua lini dilakukan penyelidikan secara seksama untuk memastikan bahwa kejadian serupa tidak boleh terjadi lagi di Republik ini,” tegasnya.

Regulasi Diperketat, Impor Distop Sementara
Selain proses hukum, pemerintah langsung mengambil langkah regulasi ekstrem untuk mencegah terulang.
“Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup telah menghentikan sementara importasi scrap baja dan besi. Kementerian Perdagangan juga menghentikan importasi sampai ada penataan tata laksana yang lebih ketat,” ungkap Menteri Hanif.
Dekontaminasi di 10 Titik
Di lapangan, langkah dekontaminasi dan pembersihan telah dilakukan di sepuluh titik yang teridentifikasi terpapar. Pemerintah menargetkan pembersihan unit-unit yang tercemar rampung dalam satu minggu, sementara pembersihan menyeluruh ditargetkan selesai dalam waktu paling lama satu bulan.
Masyarakat diimbau untuk bersabar menunggu hasil investigasi. Pemerintah berkomitmen penuh menuntaskan kasus ini hingga tuntas demi menjamin keamanan publik dan menjaga kepercayaan terhadap sistem pengawasan lingkungan di Indonesia.
