KUNINGAN, JurnalTipikor.com | Perum Perhutani Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (KPH) Kuningan lakukan pendampingan dan fasilitasi para pelajar Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) di Kuningan pada kegiatan Green Youth Movement yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan (LHK) dan Kementrian Pendidikan Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek), bertempat di Aula Kantor Perhutani KPH Kuningan, pada hari Senin (21/08/2023).
Kegiatan Green Youth Movement ini dilaksanakan secara online dengan konsep Webinar in Class selama 6 hari yang diikuti oleh sebanyak 20 pelajar yang terpilih menjadi perwakilan dari SMA yang ada di Kuningan. Pada kegiatan tersebut Perum Perhutani KPH Kuningan lakukan pendampingan dan juga memberikan fasilitasi tempat kepada para pelajar selama kegiatan Webinar in Class berlangsung.
Kegiatan tersebut didampingi langsung oleh Administratur KPH Kuningan Teguh Waluyo beserta jajaran serta para pelajar perwakilan SMA di Kuningan.
Teguh Waluyo mengungkapkan bahwa Perum Perhutani menyambut baik para pelajar SMA dan tentunya mendukung pelaksanaan dari kegiatan Green Youth Movement. Ia pun menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan Green Youth Movement merupakan kegiatan positif, dimana para pelajar SMA yang merupakan generasi muda penerus bangsa dapat memperoleh pengetahuan seputar kelola lingkungan hidup, yang nantinya hal ini berguna bagi mereka dalam menjaga kelestarian lingkungan.
“Kegiatan ini sangat positif karena merupakan program pendidikan dasar gerakan lingkungan hidup yang menyediakan wadah bagi para generasi muda untuk bertukar pengetahuan dalam melindungi dan mengelola lingkungan hidup, sehingga terciptanya generasi muda yang diharapkan bisa berkontribusi untuk menciptakan bumi yang hijau,” jelasnya
Sementara itu, salah satu perwakilan pelajar SMA 3 Kuningan, Arjuna Wiwaha Pancaroba mengatakan bahwa dirinya sangat mengapresiasi atas pelaksanaan kegiatan Green Youth Movement. Ia pun berharap setelah melaksanakan kegiatan ini nantinya dirinya dan peserta lainnya dapat memperoleh pengetahuan baru seputar lingkungan dan dapat mengimplementasikannya guna menjaga kelestarian lingkungan untuk masa depan.
