Penghargaan ini diberikan atas jasa dan kontribusi Wali Kota Pagar Alam yang telah memberikan bantuan hibah dari Pemerintah Kota Pagar Alam, berupa pembangunan gedung dan sarana prasarana di Polres Pagar Alam, serta hibah pengadaan kamera ETLE di wilayah hukum Polres Pagar Alam.
Upacara dan tasyakuran HUT Bhayangkara ini dihadiri oleh Gubernur Sumsel, beserta Forkopimda Sumsel, dan Bupati/Walikota se Sumatera Selatan.
