Pemblokiran Nomor Ponsel Wartawan dan LSM Tidak Sejalan Visi Presisi Kapolri

Seperti banyak’nya pemberitaan di beberapa media online bahwa, banyak sekali PJU Kepolisian memblokir nomor wartawan karena mempertanyakan (konfirmasi) perkembangan sejumlah kasus yang ada di wilayah hukum daerah masing-masing.
Mengetahui kejadian tersebut, Ketua Umum FRN sekaligus pengacara R.Mas Mh Agus Rugiarto SH yang biasa disapa Agus Flores angkat bicara, ia menyayangkan tindakan yang diambil oleh beberapa oknum pejabat utama di setiap Polres dan Polresta maupun PJU Polda.
“Seharusnya polisi sebagai mitra para jurnalis, bukan anti pertanyaan, apalagi sampai memblokir nomor para pencari berita. Tindakan itu sangat tidak patut dicontoh,“ sesalnya saat dikonfirmasi, Kamis 04 Mei 2023.
Sebagai pimpinan yang bersentuhan langsung dengan masyarakat, lanjutnya, mereka harus bisa membangun komunikasi yang baik dengan siapa saja terlebih lagi wartawan yang selama ini menjadi mitranya dalam mengungkap sejumlah kasus.
“Wartawan sebagai mata berita masyarakat di Indonesia, sehingga semua unsur harus bisa bersinergi,“ katanya.
Menurutnya, apapun kasus sedang ditanganani, kepolisian harus terbuka. Dirinya sebagai lawyer juga sangat merasa terganggu kalau sampai terjadi pemblokiran.
“Bagaimana kita tahu sejauh mana kasus yang kita dampingi kalau setiap pertanyaan wartawan harus dijawab dengan blokir,“ ujarnya.

Dirinya berharap, hal serupa tidak terjadi lagi kepada wartawan, tidak hanya untuk institusi Polri tapi untuk semua unsur pemerintahan juga,karena UU informasi publik nomor 14 tahun 2008 dan PP nomor 61 tahun 2010 tentang keterbukaan informasi sudah sangat jelas.
Selain itu, Agus Flores menyatakan akan segera mengirimkan surat kepada Kapolri tentang pemblokiran terhadap beberapa wartwan/jurnalis di daerah masing-masing.
“Saya meminta Bapak Kapolri bisa memberikan teguran atau peringatan kepada seluruh PJU Kepolisian di seluruh Daerah yang ada di Indonesia terkait hal ini,“ tandasnya.**
