Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Kejaksaan Agung Republik Indonesia menyatakan bahwa Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) berpotensi untuk menghadirkan mantan Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Menkominfo), Budi Arie Setiadi, sebagai saksi dalam persidangan kasus judi online yang sedang berlangsung di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan.
Kepala Pusat Penerangan Hukum (Kapuspenkum) Kejaksaan Agung, Harli Siregar, menyampaikan hal ini kepada awak media di Jakarta pada hari Senin (19/5/2025).
“Tentu kalau yang bersangkutan di dalam berkas perkara yang terdakwanya sekarang sedang disidangkan, bahwa yang bersangkutan sebagai saksi, mungkin saja akan dipanggil untuk memberikan kesaksian dalam persidangan,” ujar Harli Siregar.

Harli menjelaskan bahwa pemanggilan Budi Arie Setiadi, yang saat ini menjabat sebagai Menteri Koperasi, akan bergantung pada apakah namanya tercantum dalam daftar saksi yang diajukan oleh JPU. Namun, ia juga menekankan bahwa keputusan akhir mengenai pemanggilan saksi berada di tangan majelis hakim.
“Nanti kita lihat bagaimana hakim karena hakim yang memimpin jalannya persidangan ini, dia memiliki hak untuk mengatur jalannya persidangan,” imbuh Harli.
Kejaksaan Agung menegaskan komitmennya untuk mengungkap kasus judi online ini secara transparan dan menyeluruh. Pihak Kejaksaan juga mengimbau masyarakat untuk tetap tenang dan mempercayakan proses hukum kepada aparat penegak hukum.
