Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Wakil Wali Kota Bandung, Erwin menyakini, seorang pemimpin sejati tidak cukup hanya pintar secara akademik. Ada tiga pilar yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap calon pemimpin
Ketiganya yaitu; Intelektual Quality – Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan strategis dalam menyelesaikan persoalan; Spiritual Quality – Fondasi keimanan dan nilai moral yang menjadi kompas dalam kepemimpinan; dan Emotional Quality – Kemampuan mengendalikan emosi, berempati, dan membangun relasi sosial.
“Pemimpin adalah orang yang mampu mengajak, membujuk, bahkan bila perlu memaksa orang lain menuju kebaikan. Tapi agar efektif, ia harus punya dasar intelektual, spiritual, dan emosional yang kuat,” ujarnya.
Erwin mengungkapkan hal itu saat memberikan motivasi dan wawasan kepemimpinan kepada ratusan peserta Latihan Kepemimpinan Mahasiswa (LKM) Digitech University tahun 2025 di Yonkav 4 Kijang Cakti, Jalan Salak Kota Bandung, Sabtu, 3 Mei 2025.
Dalam sesi yang bersifat interaktif, Erwin menjelaskan empat tipologi kepemimpinan yang umum dijumpai di masyarakat.
Keempatnya yaitu; Pemimpin Karismatik – Pemimpin yang secara alami diikuti karena wibawa dan pesonanya, Pemimpin Otoriter – Pemimpin yang kaku, tertutup dari kritik, dan memaksakan kehendaknya, Pemimpin Liberal – Pemimpin yang hanya memerintah tanpa memberikan arahan atau pendampingan, dan Pemimpin Demokratis – Pemimpin yang terbuka berdiskusi dan melibatkan semua pihak dalam pengambilan keputusan.
Untuk itu, Ia mendorong mahasiswa Digitech University untuk mengasah gaya kepemimpinan yang demokratis, karena gaya ini dinilai paling relevan dalam konteks kepemimpinan masa depan yang inklusif dan kolaboratif.
Erwin menegaskan, Pemkot Bandung membuka ruang kolaborasi seluas-luasnya bagi generasi muda. Ia mengajak mahasiswa untuk tidak hanya belajar di kelas, tetapi juga menjadi bagian dari perubahan sosial.
“Saya siap audiensi kapan saja. Kalau ada ide, gagasan, atau program, mari kita bangun Bandung bersama. Kami tengah menyiapkan Bandung Smart City, dan kami butuh kalian generasi muda yang punya visi,” ujarnya antusias.

Ia mencontohkan prestasi anak-anak muda Bandung yang baru-baru ini menciptakan film berjudul Jumbo dan berhasil menarik perhatian publik internasional.
“Di usia muda, mereka mengguncang dunia. Kalian juga bisa!” ujar Erwin.
Erwin berharap, kelak dari antara mahasiswa yang hadir akan lahir pemimpin-pemimpin masa depan mulai dari pengusaha sukses, anggota DPR, wali kota, gubernur, hingga presiden. (ziz/red)
