SUMEDANG JURNAL TIPIKOR – Institut Pemerintahan Dalam Negeri (IPDN) membenarkan kabar duka atas meninggalnya salah satu calon praja angkatan XXXVI, Maulana Izzat Nurhadi, yang berasal dari Maluku Utara.
Maulana dinyatakan meninggal dunia di Kampus IPDN Jatinangor, Kabupaten Sumedang, pada Kamis malam (9/10).
Wakil Rektor Bidang Admistrasi IPDN, Arief M Edie, mengungkapkan bahwa Maulana meninggal dunia diduga karena jatuh pingsan setelah mengikuti apel malam hari.
“Iya betul meninggal dunia. Jatuh pingsan kemarin malam saat apel malam,” kata Arief saat dikonfirmasi di Bandung, Jumat (10/10).

Saat ini, fokus utama IPDN adalah mengurus proses pemulangan jenazah Maulana Izzat Nurhadi ke pihak keluarga menuju rumah duka di Ternate, Maluku Utara.
“Ini masih memantau almarhum ke rumah duka untuk diantar ke orang tuanya,” ujarnya.
Mengenai detail lebih lanjut penyebab meninggalnya calon praja tersebut, Arief belum dapat memberikan keterangan rinci. Namun, IPDN berencana untuk mengadakan jumpa pers guna memberikan informasi yang jelas dan menghindari simpang siur pemberitaan.
“Agak tidak simpang siur perihal meninggalnya salah satu calon praja IPDN, kita akan memberikan keterangan Jumat pagi ini,” jelasnya.

Sebelumnya, informasi mengenai meninggalnya calon Praja angkatan XXXVI bernama Maulana Izzat Nurhadi ini sempat ramai diberitakan di media sosial pada Jumat (9/10) malam.
Sebagai informasi, Maulana Izzat Nurhadi merupakan bagian dari 1.509 calon Praja yang saat ini tengah menjalani program Pendidikan Dasar Mental dan Disiplin Calon Praja Pratama (Diksarmendispra).
Kegiatan ini berlangsung dari tanggal 30 September hingga 14 Oktober 2025, bertujuan untuk membentuk karakter dan disiplin calon praja melalui pelatihan fisik, mental, wawasan kebangsaan, dan bela negara sebagai langkah awal pendidikan di IPDN.
