JAKARTA, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Mantan Menteri Perdagangan periode 2015–2016, Thomas Trikasih Lembong (Tom Lembong), hari ini secara resmi mendaftarkan pengajuan banding atas vonis dalam kasus dugaan korupsi importasi gula ke Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Pusat (PN Jakpus).
Langkah banding ini ditempuh menyusul putusan Majelis Hakim Pengadilan Tindak Pidana Korupsi (Tipikor) Jakarta yang dinilai tidak sesuai dengan nalar hukum dan fakta persidangan.
“Kita sudah mendengarkan semua pertimbangan-pertimbangan Majelis Hakim dan tentu secara nalar hukum dan didasarkan pada pembuktian fakta persidangan, itu banyak yang tidak sesuai. Untuk itu kami mengajukan banding,” ujar Penasihat Hukum Tom Lembong, Zaid Mushafi, saat ditemui di PN Jakarta Pusat.

Zaid Mushafi menambahkan bahwa kliennya, Tom Lembong, telah menandatangani surat kuasa untuk pengajuan banding ini. Pihak Tom Lembong berharap proses banding ini akan membuka kembali pertimbangan hukum yang lebih komprehensif berdasarkan bukti-bukti yang telah dihadirkan selama persidangan.
