BANDUNG, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Wakil Wali Kota Bandung, Erwin, menegaskan larangan bagi siswa untuk membawa kendaraan bermotor ke sekolah jika belum memiliki Surat Izin Mengemudi (SIM).
Kebijakan ini diambil demi keselamatan pelajar dan untuk menekan angka kecelakaan lalu lintas yang melibatkan siswa.
Selain itu, Erwin juga menekankan pembatasan penggunaan gawai di lingkungan sekolah. Siswa tidak diperkenankan menggunakan smartphone selama jam pelajaran berlangsung.
“Bukan melarang sepenuhnya, tapi dibatasi. Saat belajar, HP dititipkan. Supaya siswa fokus, tidak terdistraksi, dan tidak terpapar konten negatif yang beredar di internet,” ujar Erwin saat Dialog Bandung Sore II bertajuk “MPLS Ramah dan Sekolah Aman: Aturan Baru, Semangat Baru” di RRI Bandung, Rabu, 16 Juli 2025.

Erwin menyoroti pentingnya menyampaikan aturan-aturan ini selama Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) tahun ajaran 2025/2026. Ia berharap MPLS tahun ini akan menjadi lebih mendidik, ramah, dan bebas dari perpeloncoan.
“Kami ingin MPLS menjadi momen yang menyenangkan bagi siswa baru. Tidak ada lagi perpeloncoan. Sekolah harus menjadi tempat yang membuat anak bahagia dan siap tumbuh,” tambahnya.
Erwin juga menyatakan bahwa MPLS akan difokuskan pada pengenalan lingkungan sekolah, penguatan nilai-nilai Pancasila, serta pengembangan budaya positif di sekolah.
“Kami pastikan MPLS berjalan humanis. Siswa baru dikenalkan dengan ruang kelas, fasilitas sekolah, aturan tata tertib, dan pola belajar. Ini penting untuk mencegah culture shock, terutama bagi siswa SD yang baru lulus dari TK,” tutup Erwin.
