Kemenkominfo Siapkan Aturan Turunan diterapkannya Perlindungan Data Pribadi di Tahun 2024
JURNAL TIPIKOR COM–KEMENTERIAN Komunikasi dan Informatika gencar melaksanakan sosialisasi dan menyiapkan aturan turunan menuju diterapkannya Undang-Undang nomor 27 tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Data Pribadi secara efektif di 2024.
“Pertama saat ini kami sedang menyusun Peraturan Pemerintah. Kita berharap akhir tahun ini bisa selesai. Kami juga sedang menyusun Peraturan Presiden yang akan mengatur masalah kelembagaan, diharapkan di September 2023 Perpres-nya ini sudah turun,” kata Usman Kansong, Direktur Jendral Informasi dan Komunikasi Publik Kemenkominfo dikutip dari Antara. Sabtu (22/7).
Untuk Peraturan Presiden (Perpres) tersebut, Usman mengatakan nantinya akan mengatur lembaga independen yang dikhususkan menangani laporan terkait kebocoran data, lembaga tersebut akan bertanggung jawab penuh dan melaporkan hasil kerjanya ke Presiden secara langsung.
Selanjutnya, langkah kedua yang tengah dikerjakan Kemenkominfo di masa transisi sebelum UU PDP efektif berjalan ialah melakukan sosialisasi.

Sosialisasi tidak hanya dilakukan kepada masyarakat umum saja, tapi juga kepada para Penyelenggara Sistem Elektronik atau pengendali data, hingga kepada para penegak hukum yang nantinya akan menggunakan UU PDP dalam menjalankan tugasnya.
Kepada masyarakat umum, UU PDP dikenalkan agar apabila menjadi korban atau mengetahui kasus kebocoran data dapat mengacu pada regulasi tersebut.
Sedangkan kepada para pengendali data, sosialisasi dilakukan agar mereka dapat segera memenuhi hal-hal penting yang diamanatkan dalam UU PDP.

“Dalam masa transisi dua tahun itu, kami memberikan kesempatan kepada pengendali data untuk menyiapkan hal-hal yang ditentukan, termasuk salah satunya menyiapkan data protection officer,” ujar Usman.
Lebih lanjut, Usman berharap persiapan tersebut bisa berjalan dengan lancar dan akhirnya memberikan kepastian hukum yang lebih kuat kepada masyarakat Indonesia dalam hal pelindungan data.
“UU PDP kami harapkan bisa mencegah terjadinya penyalahgunaan data serta dapat melindungi data pribadi masyarakat,” tutup Usman. (Detik.com)
