JURNAL TIPIKOR – Presiden Joko Widodo meminta wartawan menanyakan mengenai kesiapan PDI Perjuangan berada di luar pemerintahan (oposisi), kepada elite yang ada di dalam partai tersebut.
“Ya ditanyakan saja kepada beliau-beliau yang ada di PDI Perjuangan,” kata Presiden Joko Widodo singkat usai peresmian Rumah Sakit Pusat Pertahanan Negara Panglima Besar Soedirman dan 20 rumah sakit TNI, di Jakarta, Senin.
Demikian diutarakan Jokowi saat dimintai tanggapannya atas pernyataan Sekretaris Jenderal PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto yang menyatakan partainya siap berada di luar pemerintahan.

Joko Widodo tidak menanggapi lebih jauh mengenai pernyataan Hasto tersebut. Dia lalu menjawab pertanyaan lain yang diajukan awak media.
Sebelumnya Sekretaris Jenderal PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto menegaskan bahwa partai berlambang banteng moncong putih itu siap berjuang di luar pemerintahan, melalui parlemen untuk menjalankan tugas check and balance.
Menurutnya, berada di luar pemerintahan adalah suatu tugas patriotik dan pernah dijalani PDI Perjuangan pasca Pemilu 2004 dan Pemilu 2009.
