Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia siap untuk mengawal dan pengamanan secara ketat setiap tahapan Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) 2024, termasuk salah satunya saat proses pelipatan surat suara.
“Pengamanan pelipatan surat suara merupakan bagian dari tahapan Pemilu 2024 yang harus dilakukan dengan ketat,” kata Kepala Bagian Penerangan Umum (Kabag Penum) Divisi Humas Polri Kombes Pol. Erdi A. Chaniago dalam keterangannya di Jakarta, Selasa.
Ia mengatakan seluruh kegiatan pengamanan yang dilakukan Polri dalam tahapan pemilu merupakan bagian dari poin-poin kesepahaman Polri dengan KPU.
“Ini menjadi landasan hukum sinergi di lapangan. Polri siap memberikan dukungan penuh terhadap penyelenggaraan Pemilu serentak 2024 yang berkualitas dan berintegritas,” katanya.
Dalam proses pengamanan itu, anggota kepolisian yang berjaga akan melakukan pengamanan maksimal, sehingga keutuhan surat suara dapat terjamin.
“Sesuai standar pemilu hingga saatnya digunakan nanti pada 14 Februari 2024,” imbuh Erdi.
Setiap personel yang ditugaskan dalam pengawalan ini akan memeriksa setiap orang yang bertugas dalam pelipatan surat suara pada saat ke luar masuk.
“Petugas kepolisian yang diperkenankan masuk hanya petugas yang diberi mandat oleh KPU ataupun Bawaslu yang diperkenankan masuk,” tegasnya.
Ia menambahkan, penjagaan ketat ini merupakan respons terhadap potensi gangguan yang mungkin terjadi selama proses pemilu.
“Upaya ini untuk menjamin setiap tahapan berlangsung dalam kondisi yang kondusif,” tandas Erdi.
Sebelumnya, Kapolri Jenderal Polisi Listyo Sigit Prabowo, saat kunjungan kerja di Kabupaten Gunungkidul, Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, Sabtu (6/1), mengajak seluruh elemen masyarakat untuk menciptakan Pemilu 2024 yang damai.
Jenderal Listyo mengatakan indeks kerawanan pemilu yang dikeluarkan oleh Bawaslu menjadi acuan Polri untuk selalu mendeklarasikan pemilu damai pada setiap kesempatan dan setiap saat di wilayah yang memiliki tingkat kerawanan.(*)
