Segera Beroperasi, TPST Gedebage Mulai Uji Coba Operasional
Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR — Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bandung mulai menguji coba pengoperasian Tempat Pengolahan Sampah Terpadu (TPST) Gedebage. TPST tersebut ditargetkan mampu mengolah lebih dari 60 ton sampah organik per hari.
Ini masa ujicoba alhamdulillah berjalan, meski belum ideal. Maggotisasinya juga kita baru menggunakan 9 biofon. Untuk sampah anorganiknya, 4 dari 6 Conveyor sudah berjalan. Yang anorganik ini masih belum ke lawe, jadi nanti diangkut ke Cukang Holis,” kata Sekretaris Daerah Kota Bandung, Ema Sumarna saat melakukan monitoring ke TPST Gedebage, Rabu 6 Desember 2023
“Idealnya kita punya mesin Gibrik untuk mencacah diolah menjadi RDF. Sampah yang bernilai ekonomi dipilah oleh petugas ini menjadi tambahan penghasilan mereka,” imbuhnya.

Ema mengatakan, saat ini masih terdapat beberapa catatan terutama terkait dengan hangar Maggot. Ia menyebut, maggot harus berada dalam kondisi yang tidak panas dan tidak terdapat air.
Untuk itu, saat ini sedang dilakukan pemasangan paranet agar hangar terlindung dari terik matahari langsung.
“Setelah kita lihat di lapangan dan masukan dari pegiat maggot, di bawah harus pakai pelapis tembok yang bisa menyerap air bukan dari terpal karena maggot konon katanya tidak bisa berproses makan dalam kondisi panas,” ujar Ema.
“Atapnya juga masih belum sempurna harus memakai paranet. Nah pemasangan paranet ini harus tuntas dalam satu sampai dua minggu, karena magot tidak bisa makan dalam kondisi panas,” lanjutnya.

Selain itu, untuk menghindari hama seperti tikus dan burung, akan dibangun benteng-benteng dan pemasangan paving blok.
“Kalau tikus masuk, habis itu maggot. Makanya akan kita tembok lagi pinggirnya. Nanti juga akan kita paving blok agar nyaman. Jangan sampai ada tampias air, maggot tidak nyaman dengan panas dan air,” kata dia.
Ema menyebut, maggot efektif dalam penguraian sampah sisa makanan. Untuk itu, ia akan mendorong sampah sisa makanan kafe dan restoran untuk diolah di TPST Gedebage.
“Kita inginnya semua sampah organik restoran di Kota Bandung dibawa ke sini (TPST Gedebag). Nanti bisa dicampur antara sampah pasar dan sampah restoran. Karena maggot favoritnya sisa makanan manusia. Satu kotak biofon idealnya mencapai 1 kwintal, makin banyak makanan makin banyak magotnya,” ujarnya.
Secara keseluruhan, saat uji coba sampah yang dapat terolah mencapai 10 ton.
Ema menyebut berbagai skema telah dilakukan Pemkot Bandung untuk bisa mengolah sampah. Mulai dari hangar maggot di 151 Kelurahan, Kang Empos untuk 20 persen KK di setiap Kelurahan dan skema lainnya.
“Sampah organik sisa makanan sehari bisa kita olah 20 ton sehari untuk bisa menyelesaikan sampah organik sisa makanan. Kita juga punya hangar di 151 Kelurahan itu bisa mengolah 151 ton jadi total bisa mengolah 171 ton sampah organik kalau semua sudah efektif,” katanya.
“Jadi kalau kita mau mereduksi sampah 550 ton, sudah 40 persen dapat terolah dengan maggot ini. Belum lagi Kang Emposnya jalan, kalau itu selesai di Bandung ada 20 persen KK di Kota Bandung menurut saya ini logis. Walaupun ini baru berjalan 10 persen,” imbuhnya.
Ema juga menegaskan, kehadiran TPST Gedebage tidak akan menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan di wilayah tersebut.
“Dan ini juga tidak cemaran lingkungan, dengan teknologi yang dipakai tidak akan menjadi cemaran lingkungan. Karena sudah dibahas terkait itu,” ujar dia.
Saat ini Pemkot juga masih memiliki kuota 13.000 rit ke TPA Sarimukti atau sekitar 65.000 ton. Melihat perkembangan yang ada, Ema optimis sebelum akhir tahun TPST Gedebage akan beroperasi secara maksimal dan status Darurat Sampah segera berakhir.
“Sudah banyak alternatif, kalau terjebak satu alternatif kita akan susah. Semoga semua berjalan lancar,” ungkapnya.(*)
