Pj Gubernur Jabar sendiri nantinya akan dipilih untuk menggantikan Ridwan Kamil yang masa jabatannya akan habis pada 5 September 2023. Ketua Komisi I DPRD Jawa Barat, Bedi Budiman mengatakan, dewan diberikan waktu satu bulan untuk mengusulkan nama Pj ke Mendagri.
