KENDARI, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Bupati Kolaka Timur (Koltim), Abdul Azis, membantah dirinya menjadi salah satu pihak yang terjaring dalam Operasi Tangkap Tangan (OTT) yang dilakukan oleh Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Republik Indonesia.
Bantahan tersebut disampaikan di tengah beredarnya kabar di media sosial yang menyebutkan namanya terlibat dalam operasi tersebut.
Saat dihubungi di Kendari pada hari Kamis, Bupati Abdul Azis menyatakan bahwa dirinya tidak mengetahui adanya OTT di wilayah kerjanya. “Saya tidak tahu, di Kendari ini,” ujarnya melalui sambungan telepon. Ia menegaskan bahwa saat ini ia sedang berada di Kota Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara.
Namun, saat ditanya lebih lanjut mengenai kabar dua orang stafnya yang dikabarkan terjaring OTT, Abdul Azis langsung mengakhiri panggilan telepon tersebut.
Berdasarkan informasi yang beredar, OTT yang dilakukan KPK memang menyasar dua orang staf Bupati Koltim. Keduanya telah diamankan dan dibawa ke Polda Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra) untuk menjalani pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
Hingga saat ini, belum ada informasi resmi dari KPK terkait kasus yang mendasari OTT tersebut, jumlah pasti pihak yang diamankan, maupun identitas para terduga pelaku.
Operasi tangkap tangan di Kolaka Timur ini menjadi OTT ketiga yang dilakukan KPK pada tahun ini.

Sebelumnya, KPK juga telah melakukan OTT pada 16 Maret terkait dugaan suap proyek di Dinas Pekerjaan Umum dan Penataan Ruang (PUPR) Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ulu, Sumatera Selatan, serta pada 28 Juni terkait dugaan suap proyek pembangunan jalan di Sumatera Utara.
