Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) mengonfirmasi sedang melakukan penyelidikan terhadap dugaan tindak pidana korupsi terkait transaksi penjualan gas oil antara perusahaan Indonesia, Pertamina International Marketing and Distribution (PIMD), dengan dua perusahaan asal Filipina, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc. dan Udenna Corporation.
Juru Bicara KPK, Budi Prasetyo, menyatakan bahwa proses penyelidikan masih berjalan. “Informasinya masih penyelidikan,” kata Budi saat dikonfirmasi di Jakarta, Sabtu. (2/8).
Senada dengan Budi, Pelaksana Tugas Deputi Penindakan dan Eksekusi KPK, Asep Guntur Rahayu, juga membenarkan adanya penyelidikan ini. Namun, ia belum dapat memberikan detail lebih lanjut mengenai perkembangannya.
Kasus ini bermula dari kerja sama strategis antara PIMD dan Phoenix Petroleum yang diumumkan pada September 2020. Saat itu, Managing Director PIMD, Agus Witjaksono, menyebut kerja sama ini sejalan dengan visi perusahaan untuk memperluas bisnis PT Pertamina (Persero) di Asia Tenggara.
Namun, dalam perjalanannya, Phoenix tidak menyelesaikan pembayaran sejumlah transaksi kepada PIMD. Akibatnya, PIMD mengajukan proses arbitrase di Badan Arbitrase Singapura pada 6 April 2022.
PIMD kemudian memenangkan gugatan arbitrase tersebut pada 30 November 2023. Keputusan ini mengharuskan Phoenix dan Udenna membayar sekitar $142 juta kepada PIMD.
