Kerja sama ini berfokus pada pertukaran dan pemanfaatan data informasi, termasuk pemasangan dan pengoperasian perangkat penyadapan informasi, dalam rangka mendukung penegakan hukum.
Penandatanganan nota kesepahaman (MoU) ini dilakukan oleh Jamintel Reda Manthovani dengan perwakilan dari PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia Tbk., PT Telekomunikasi Selular, PT Indosat Tbk., dan PT XL Axiata Tbk. (sebelumnya dikenal sebagai PT XL Smart Telecom Sejahtera Tbk.) di Jakarta pada Selasa (24/6).
Jamintel Reda Manthovani menjelaskan bahwa kolaborasi ini merupakan langkah krusial bagi Kejaksaan RI, khususnya bidang intelijen. “Adanya pembaruan tugas dan fungsi dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2021 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 16 Tahun 2004 tentang Kejaksaan, khususnya Pasal 30B, memberikan otorisasi kepada bidang intelijen untuk menyelenggarakan fungsi penyelidikan, pengamanan, dan penggalangan untuk kepentingan penegakan hukum,” ujar Reda.
Ia menambahkan bahwa ‘business core’ intelijen Kejaksaan saat ini berpusat pada pengumpulan data dan/atau informasi. Data tersebut selanjutnya akan dianalisis, diolah, dan digunakan sesuai kebutuhan organisasi.
Oleh karena itu, kolaborasi dengan penyedia layanan telekomunikasi menjadi sangat penting untuk memastikan kualitas dan validitas data informasi yang tidak terbantahkan serta memiliki kualifikasi nilai A1.
