Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Wakil Wali Kota Bandung, Erwin, meresmikan gedung baru SMP dan SMA Pondok Pesantren (Ponpes) As Salafi Ar-Raaid di Kelurahan Cipadung Wetan, Kecamatan Panyileukan, Selasa, 22 April 2025
Pada kesempatan tersebut, Erwin menyampaikan rasa syukur atas peresmian gedung baru tersebut.
Ia menegaskan, bangunan baru bukan sekadar infrastruktur, melainkan simbol semangat perjuangan dan harapan besar untuk melahirkan generasi yang cerdas, berakhlak, dan siap mengabdi kepada umat dan bangsa.
“Gedung baru ini adalah nikmat dan amanah besar dari Allah. Ini bukan hanya fisik, bata dan semen, tapi simbol cita-cita besar untuk melahirkan generasi berilmu dan berakhlak,” ujar Erwin.

Erwin menyebut, pondok pesantren memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk karakter bangsa. Sejarah bangsa Indonesia tidak lepas dari kontribusi pesantren yang telah melahirkan ulama, cendekiawan, hingga pejuang dan pemimpin bangsa.
“Di tengah modernisasi, pesantren seperti Ar-Raaid ini menjadi oase. Tempat anak-anak belajar ilmu agama dan nilai-nilai kehidupan seperti tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan akhlak mulia,” ungkapnya.
Terkait visi Bandung Agamis, Erwin menilai, peresmian gedung baru ini adalah bagian dari upaya konkret Pemkot Bandung untuk membangun kota yang agamis, cerdas, dan berakhlak. Salah satu program yang sedang dijalankan adalah gerakan memberantas buta huruf Al-Qur’an.
“Guru ngaji akan kami datangkan langsung ke rumah-rumah warga. Kami ingin menjangkau mereka yang malu ke masjid karena belum bisa mengaji. Ini bentuk kehadiran pemerintah di tengah masyarakat,” jelasnya.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Erwin juga membuka peluang dukungan Pemkot Bandung kepada pesantren-pesantren, termasuk Ar-Raaid.
Ia menyatakan kesiapan pemerintah untuk berkolaborasi dalam memperkuat ekosistem pendidikan Islam di Kota Bandung.
Sementara itu, Ketua Yayasan Ar-Raaid, Euis Susilawati menyampaikan rasa haru dan terima kasih atas kehadiran Wakil Wali Kota dan seluruh tamu undangan. Baginya, momen ini sangat berarti bagi perjuangan panjangnya mendirikan pesantren tersebut.
“Ponpes Ar-Raaid sudah berdiri sejak 2012, dan baru kali ini didatangi Wakil Wali Kota. Ini perjuangan dari cinta dan air mata. Mohon doanya agar proses perizinan SMP dan SMA kami dilancarkan,” ungkapnya.
Ia juga berharap agar para santri dapat istiqomah dalam menimba ilmu dan menjadikan ilmu tersebut sebagai bekal hidup yang berkah. (rob/red)
