Wajo, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Kejaksaan Negeri (Kejari) Wajo menghimbau kepada seluruh warga kabupaten wajo agar lebih berhati – hati terhadap maraknya penipuan online.
Kasus penipuan online merupakan bentuk penipuan berbasis digital yang mengelabui korbannya demi meraih keuntungan secara ilegal.
Kepala kejaksaan negeri ( Kajari) Wajo melalui Kasi Intel, Andi Saifullah, S.H, menyampaikan agar warga tak percaya begitu saja dengan adanya permintaan yang mengatasnamakan pejabat kejari wajo.
” Hati – Hati terhadap modus penipuan online, via telepon, whatsapp, sms, serta media sosial yang mengatasnamakan pejabat kejaksaan negeri wajo.” Tulis Kasi Intel kejari wajo, Rabu, (05/03/25).
Menurut Andi Saifullah, bahwa secara hukum, penipuan online dapat dijerat dengan Pasal 378 KUHP, yang menyatakan bahwa siapa pun yang melakukan penipuan dengan tipu muslihat atau rangkaian kebohongan dapat dihukum penjara hingga 4 tahun.
Selain itu, penipuan online juga diatur dalam Pasal 28 Ayat (1) jo Pasal 45A Ayat (1) Undang-Undang Nomor 1 Tahun 2024, yang mengatur tentang penyebaran informasi bohong atau menyesatkan dalam transaksi elektronik.
Pelanggaran terhadap pasal ini dapat dikenakan hukuman penjara hingga 6 tahun dan/atau denda maksimal 1 miliar rupiah.
” Bagi yang menerima panggilan atau pesan permintaan dalam bentuk apapun yang mengatasnamakan pejabat kejari wajo, agar tidak dilayani dan segera melaporkan ke kantor kejaksaan negeri wajo.” Tutur Andi Saifullah.(Ikbal)
