Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR — Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto mengenang sosok Presiden keempat RI Abdurrahman Wahid atau Gus Dur dalam membawa kesejukan dan perdamaian.
“Salah satu kepemimpinan Gusdur yang patut kita teladani adalah komitmen beliau untuk mewakili Islam dalam moderasi, dalam kesejukan, dalam perdamaian,” kata Prabowo saat menghadiri acara 102 Tahun Nahdlatul Ulama bertajuk “Bekerja Bersama Umat untuk Indonesia Maslahat” di Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Rabu (5/2) malam.
Prabowo bercerita bahwa ada suatu hal yang dilakukan Gus Dur dan menjadi teladan bagi Prabowo saat menjadi Ketua Umum Partai Gerindra, yakni mengerahkan kader untuk menjaga Gereja dan Vihara dari ancaman bom.
“Saya kira ada suatu hal yang unik di jaman Gus Dur, kalau ada kaum minoritas yang diancam justru NU lah yang tampil menjaga. Saya pun waktu saya menjadi Ketum Gerindra, saya inget contoh Gus Dur waktu ada peristiwa beberapa Gereja, Vihara diancam mau di bom saya pun perintahkan Gerindra untuk menjaga Gereja dan Vihara-Vihara tersebut,” kenang Prabowo.
Hingga kini, Prabowo terus berpegang teguh pada prinsip Gus Dur agar senantiasa bersikap berani dan mengoreksi diri dalam membangun pemerintahan Indonesia ke depan.
“Artinya, pemimpin harus berani memberi contoh walaupun mungkin tidak populer waktu itu Gus Dur belum populer, tapi beliau berani. Sekarang pun kita harus berani, saya ajak semua rekan-rekan saya, kita harus berani, berani mengoreksi diri, berani membangun suatu pemerintahan ke depan, pemerintah yang bebas dari penyelewengan dan korupsi, itu tekad kami,” imbuhnya.(*)
