Lima, Peru— Presiden RI Prabowo Subianto mengawali kunjungan kerja di Peru dengan santap pagi bersama Perdana Menteri Australia Anthony Albanese di Swissotel, Lima, Peru, Kamis (14/11) pagi pukul 09:30 waktu setempat.
Prabowo menyambut secara langsung kedatangan Albanese di lobi hotel dan menyapa Anthony dengan ramah serta bersalaman untuk kemudian berjalan bersama menuju ruang pertemuan.
Di awal breakfast meeting ini, Anthony memulai percakapan dengan mengucapkan selamat atas terpilihnya Prabowo sebagai presiden RI dalam Pemilu 2024.
“Sampai jumpa di sini pagi ini dan saya sekali lagi mengucapkan selamat atas pemilihan Anda,” ucap Anthony ke Prabowo.

Anthony juga menyorot soal pentingnya hubungan keamanan yang telah terjalin antara Indonesia dan Australia terlebih ketika Prabowo menjabat sebagai Menteri Pertahanan.
“Sekali lagi ini menunjukkan pentingnya hubungan keamanan yang telah terjadi antara Menteri Pertahanan kami dan Anda sendiri sebelum pelantikan Anda,” kata Anthony.
Untuk itu, Anthony menginginkan kerjasama keberlanjutan dengan Indonesia di berbagai bidang, terutama pertahanan dan ekonomi.
“Tentu saja hubungan ekonomi kita juga sangat penting, semakin banyak kerja sama antara kedua negara besar kita,” lanjut Anthony.

Di kesempatan yang sama Prabowo mengaku sangat senang memiliki sahabat baik seperti Anthony di Australia. Prabowo juga turut menantikan kerjasama-kerjasama lainnya ke depan yang akan lebih memperkuat hubungan antara negara Indonesia dan Australia.
“Saya sangat senang memiliki teman baik di Australia saat ini yang melanjutkan hubungan luar biasa yang telah kita miliki. Saya ingin hubungan ini bahkan lebih kuat lagi di masa depan. Terima kasih Pak Perdana Menteri,” ucap Prabowo ke Anthony.
Usai breakfast meeting yang berlangsung selama kurang lebih satu jam ini, Prabowo mengantar kepulangan Anthony menuju mobilnya di Lobby Swissotel Lima.(*)
