Langkah strategis ini diambil demi menjamin pasokan air bersih yang memadai dan berkelanjutan bagi seluruh warga, serta merespons isu kritis eksploitasi air tanah oleh korporasi.
Rencana KDM langsung disambut positif oleh Ketua Umum Badan Pemantau Kebijakan Publik (BPKP), A. Tarmizi. Menurutnya, langkah ini bukan hanya relevan untuk menyoroti Perusahaan Air Minum Dalam Kemasan (AMDK) sekelas Aqua, tetapi juga wajib ditiru oleh seluruh Kepala Daerah di tingkat kota maupun kabupaten.
“Langkah Gubernur Jawa Barat ini harus diikuti oleh seluruh Kepala Daerah yang berada di bawahnya, baik kota maupun kabupaten,” ujar Tarmizi kepada Jurnal Tipikor pada Minggu (2/10).

Sorotan Tajam: Perusahaan AMDK di Tengah Kota Padat
Secara spesifik, Tarmizi mendesak Pemerintah Kota Bandung untuk segera bertindak tegas.
Ia menunjuk adanya perusahaan Air Minum sejenis merek Aqua yang beroperasi di wilayah yang berpenduduk sangat padat.
“Perlu kiranya Pemerintah Kota Bandung untuk melakukan Sidak ke perusahaan tersebut, terlebih lokasi perusahaannya berada di wilayah yang berpenduduk sangat padat,” tegas Tarmizi.
Tarmizi mengingatkan bahwa keberadaan perusahaan air minum yang bersumber dari air tanah di tengah perkotaan menunjukkan kerentanan tinggi dan dampak negatif signifikan yang harus dikelola secara serius. Kerentanan ini berfokus pada dua aspek utama: kuantitas (debit air) dan kualitas air tanah.

- Transparansi Data: Perusahaan harus transparan dalam melaporkan volume pengambilan air kepada publik.
