Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Asia Afrika Festival (AAF) di Kota Bandung mendapat apresiasi tinggi dari Kementerian Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif (Kemenparekraf) karena dinilai sebagai contoh ideal penyelenggaraan acara yang lengkap dan berkelanjutan.
Festival ini dianggap telah memenuhi empat unsur penting yang harus dimiliki sebuah event berhasil.
Deputi Bidang Industri dan Investasi Kementerian Pariwisata Republik Indonesia, Rizky Handayani Mustafa, mengungkapkan bahwa AAF merupakan event yang komplet karena memiliki empat unsur utama, yaitu:
- Hiburan (Entertainment): Mampu menarik minat dan antusiasme masyarakat.
- Pembelajaran (Education): Memberikan nilai tambah dan memperkaya wawasan.
- Keterlibatan (Engagement): Menghadirkan partisipasi dari berbagai daerah dan negara.
- Pemberdayaan (Empowerment): Memberi manfaat nyata bagi masyarakat lokal.
“Sebuah event yang berhasil harus punya keempat unsur itu agar memberi manfaat nyata,” ujar Rizky Handayani.

Lebih lanjut, festival tahun ini menunjukkan komitmennya sebagai event ramah lingkungan (sustainable event) dengan menyediakan water station untuk menekan penggunaan plastik sekali pakai.
Langkah ini sejalan dengan kebijakan nasional pariwisata yang menjadikan sustainability sebagai prinsip utama.
Selain aspek keberlanjutan,
Kemenparekraf juga mendorong agar AAF dapat terus dikembangkan sebagai event berbasis Intellectual Property (IP). Hal ini bertujuan agar setiap kegiatan budaya yang diselenggarakan dapat memiliki nilai ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.
“Kami ingin kolaborasi ini membuat Indonesia naik kelas sebagai destinasi event internasional,” tegas Rizky.
Rizky Handayani berharap festival ini dapat mendorong peningkatan signifikan dalam kunjungan wisatawan, baik mancanegara maupun domestik, serta meningkatkan pengeluaran wisatawan (spending).
“Siapa pun yang datang ke Bandung pasti membeli makanan, oleh-oleh, dan produk khas. Bandung sudah jadi pusat inovasi kuliner dan cinderamata,” pungkasnya, sembari menambahkan,
