BANDUNG, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Mantan Ketua DPR Setya Novanto, terpidana kasus korupsi proyek KTP-el, disebut telah bebas dari tahanan pada Sabtu (16/8).
Namun, statusnya saat ini masih dalam pembebasan bersyarat dan baru akan bebas murni pada tahun 2029.
Kepala Kantor Wilayah Direktorat Jenderal Pemasyarakatan Jawa Barat, Kusnali, menjelaskan bahwa Setya Novanto wajib melapor setiap bulan hingga masa percobaan berakhir pada 29 April 2029.
Setelah tanggal tersebut, ia baru bisa dinyatakan bebas murni dari pengawasan.
Novanto yang telah menjalani hukuman delapan tahun di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Sukamiskin, Bandung, sejatinya divonis 15 tahun penjara.
Namun, berdasarkan putusan peninjauan kembali (PK) Mahkamah Agung pada 4 Juni 2025, hukumannya dikurangi menjadi 12 tahun 6 bulan.
Novanto juga telah menyelesaikan kewajiban denda Rp500 juta dan uang pengganti Rp49 miliar, yang menjadi syarat pembebasan bersyaratnya.
“Dia mendapatkan pembebasan bersyarat per 29 Mei 2025 dan mulai menjalani pembebasan bersyarat pada 16 Agustus 2025,” kata Kusnali.
Hak Politik dan Remisi
Meskipun telah bebas bersyarat, Setya Novanto belum bisa menggunakan hak pilihnya ataupun mencalonkan diri untuk jabatan publik.
Sesuai regulasi, hak politiknya baru akan dipulihkan lima tahun setelah masa pidana selesai.
Novanto juga tercatat rutin mendapatkan remisi, termasuk remisi khusus Idul Fitri pada tahun 2023 dan 2024 (masing-masing 30 hari) serta remisi umum HUT ke-78 RI (90 hari).
Remisi di Jawa Barat
Dalam rangka memperingati HUT ke-80 RI, sebanyak 18.439 narapidana di Jawa Barat mendapatkan remisi umum.
Dari jumlah tersebut, 344 orang langsung bebas. Selain itu, remisi dasawarsa diberikan kepada 19.414 narapidana, di mana 233 orang di antaranya juga langsung bebas.
Per 17 Agustus 2025, tercatat ada 26.858 warga binaan di Jawa Barat, terdiri dari 22.249 narapidana dan 4.609 tahanan, serta 169 anak binaan.
