Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Dewan Pers mengambil tindakan tegas terhadap media yang menggunakan nama kementerian atau lembaga negara tanpa afiliasi resmi.
Ketua Komisi Pengaduan dan Penegakan Etika Dewan Pers, M. Jazuli, menyatakan bahwa verifikasi dan sertifikasi media yang terbukti mencatut nama institusi seperti KPK atau Polri akan dicabut.
“Kami ingatkan agar media segera mengubah nama-nama yang mencatut institusi. Jika masih tetap menggunakan, kami akan menertibkan dengan mencabut verifikasi media dan sertifikasi wartawannya,” tegas Jazuli di Kantor Dewan Pers, Jakarta Pusat. (5/8).
Jazuli menjelaskan bahwa penertiban ini tidak berlaku untuk media resmi yang memang berada di bawah kementerian atau lembaga, seperti media milik KPK atau TV yang dikelola oleh Polri.
“Justru yang kami tertibkan adalah media yang tidak terafiliasi dengan lembaga negara, tetapi mereka mencatut atau menggunakan nama-nama institusi itu,” lanjutnya.
Menurut Jazuli, penertiban ini telah dimulai dan akan terus berlanjut karena menjadi perhatian utama Dewan Pers. Meskipun tidak menyebutkan jumlah pasti media yang sudah ditertibkan, ia menegaskan bahwa upaya ini akan terus dilakukan.
