Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Kota Bandung bersiap menyambut ribuan pelari dari berbagai penjuru dalam gelaran Soekarno Run Bandung 2025 yang akan dilaksanakan pada Minggu, 8 Juni 2025.
Sebagai bagian dari peringatan 124 tahun kelahiran Presiden Pertama Republik Indonesia, Soekarno, ajang ini tak sekadar olahraga massal, tetapi juga bentuk penghormatan terhadap sejarah perjuangan bangsa yang lekat dengan Kota Bandung.
Sebanyak 6.601 pelari akan menempuh rute yang sarat nilai sejarah, yakni Jalan Merdeka – Jalan Lembong – Jalan Veteran – Jalan Ahmad Yani – Jalan Asia Afrika – Jalan Banceuy – Jalan Suniaraja – Jalan Stasiun Timur – Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan – Jalan Wastukencana.
Wali Kota Bandung, Muhammad Farhan mengatakan, saat ini tengah menjadikan Kota Bandung sebagai pusat sport tourism yang sarat nilai sejarah.
“Kenapa penting? Karena Bandung adalah kota jasa, dan event seperti ini menggerakkan ekonomi. Kita ingin menjadikan Bandung sebagai kota favorit bagi para pelari,” ujar Farhan pada acara carb loading Soekarno Run 2025 di Pendopo Wali Kota, Sabtu 7 Juni 2025.
Menurutnya, kegiatan lari massal bukan hal baru bagi Bandung. Setelah Pocari Sweat Run dan Bandoeng 10K yang lebih profesional, kini saatnya Bandung meneguhkan diri sebagai destinasi utama sport touris dengan narasi sejarah yang kuat.
“Soekarno Run ini bukan hanya soal olahraga, ini ekspresi perjuangan. Bandung adalah kota lahirnya semangat Bung Karno. Dari sini nyalinya tumbuh. Dan kami sedang menggali kembali jejak sejarah itu,” ungkap Farhan.

Menurut Farhan, Soekarno Run memiliki kekuatan lebih karena membawa narasi sejarah yang kuat dan membangun kebanggaan kolektif terhadap sosok Bung Karno.
“Kami bangga Bandung jadi tuan rumah kedua untuk Soekarno. Ini menularkan semangat menjadikan Bandung sebagai kota perjuangan. Dari sinilah Bung Karno mendapatkan nyalinya untuk maju,” kata Farhan
Untuk kelancaran kegiatan, Pemerintah Kota Bandung mengerahkan seluruh OPD untuk mendukung kelancaran acara ini, dari pengamanan lalu lintas hingga pelayanan kesehatan.
“Soekarno adalah milik kita semua. Mari berlari dan rasakan semangat perjuangan beliau di Bandung,” ungkapnya.

Sementara itu, Bendahara Umum DPP PDI Perjuangan, Yuke Yurika, turut menyampaikan apresiasi atas dukungan Pemerintah Kota Bandung terhadap kegiatan ini.
Ia menyebut Soekarno Run sebagai momentum untuk menghidupkan kembali nilai-nilai sejarah dan perjuangan Bung Karno di tengah generasi muda.
“Juni adalah bulan Bung Karno. Banyak momentum Soekarno yang terjadi di Bandung, dan ini menjadi PR kita bersama agar anak-anak kita bisa mengenal Bung Karno lebih baik,” ujar Yuke.
Ia berharap kegiatan ini bisa menjadi ikon tahunan Kota Bandung. (rob/red)
