Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Wali Kota Bandung Muhammad Farhan mengajak para ayah tidak hanya berbicara, tetapi bertindak nyata demi kebaikan keluarga. Hal itu disampaikan saat membuka webinar Parheheon Ama HKBP Bandung Timur 2025, Jumat 30 Mei 2025.
Dalam sambutannya, Farhan mengingatkan pentingnya peran ayah sebagai teladan, pemimpin, dan pendidik dalam rumah tangga.
Ia mengingatkan, keluarga membutuhkan tindakan nyata, bukan sekadar nasihat kosong.
“Sebagai seorang ayah, saya ingin mengajak sesama ayah untuk terus belajar. Belajar bagaimana memberikan teladan, contoh sikap, tindakan, dan kebiasaan baik, baik di dalam rumah maupun di luar rumah,” ujar Farhan.

Ia juga mengkritisi kebiasaan sebagian ayah yang hanya mengambil peran saat anak-anaknya berprestasi, namun menyerahkan tanggung jawab kepada ibu ketika terjadi masalah.
“Sudah saatnya ayah tidak lagi sekadar menyalahkan istri ketika anak berbuat salah. Keluarga harus menjadi ekosistem yang seimbang antara peran ayah dan ibu,” tuturnya.
Menurutnya, tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks. Terutama tekanan sosial dari dunia digital yang dihadapi oleh generasi Z dan Alpha.

Ia mengajak para orang tua untuk mengubah pendekatan disiplin dari gaya keras menjadi pendekatan yang lebih memahami konteks zaman dan membangun komunikasi dalam keluarga.
“Anak bukanlah mobil rusak yang bisa dimasukkan ke bengkel dan keluar langsung baik. Mereka adalah anugerah Tuhan yang harus diperlakukan dengan kasih dan keteladanan,” ujarnya.
Perlu diketahui, Webinar Parheheon Ama HKBP Bandung Timur 2025 diselenggarakan secara daring melalui Zoom Meeting oleh HKBP Bandung Timur, khususnya untuk para ama (ayah) dalam rangka memperkuat peran ayah dalam keluarga dan masyarakat.
