Wajo, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Sejumlah mahasiswa yang tergabung dalam organisasi Himpunan Mahasiswa Islam (HMI) menggelar aksi unjuk rasa dengan menyuarakan tuntutan terhadap pemerintah kabupaten (Pemkab) Wajo.
Aksi unjuk rasa yang bertepatan dengan hari pendidikan nasional (Hardiknas) berlangsung di depan gedung paripurna DPRD Wajo, pada jum’at (02/05/25).
Dalam tuntannya, HMI Cabang Wajo meminta pemerintah kabupaten wajo agar mewujudkan pendidikan gratis, dan meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan serta mensejahterakan tenaga pendidik.
Selain itu, HMI juga menuntut penguatan pelayanan dan akses kesehatan di wilayah terpencil, menuntut adanya peraturan daerah (Perda) mengenai pelestarian kearifan lokal yakni ‘Maccera Tappareng’, perbaikan pengelolaan sampah dan air bersih, perlindungan terhadap anak dengan pengentasan pernikahan dini serta pemerataan dan peningkatan infrastruktur jalan.
Menanggapi hal tersebut, Anggota Komisi I DPRD Kabupaten Wajo, Amran Ambo Dai, berpendapat bahwa aksi tersebut merupakan hal yang wajar sebagai bentuk semangat perubahan.
” Pergerakan tersebut merupakan semangat perubahan atas keinginan melihat wajo lebih baik, bagi saya itu adalah pemanis dalam setiap semangat perjuangan.” Ucap Amran
Lebih lanjut, Amran mengajak mahasiswa untuk berkolaborasi dalam membantu pemerintah dalam mengawal pembangunan untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
” Pembangunan di daerah harus kerja-kerja kolektif, saya sering mengatakan bahwa kita harus sama-sama membenahi kabupaten Wajo supaya lebih baik kedepannya.” Tuturnya
Adapun terkait aspirasi yang di sampaikan mahasiswa, politisi Partai Gelora itu mengaku akan berjuang untuk memenuhi apa yang menjadi tuntutan HMI Cabang Wajo.
