Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Mantan Juru Bicara Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) Febri Diansyah mengemukakan bahwa dirinya ditanya penyidik KPK mengenai proses menjadi kuasa hukum Sekretaris Jenderal PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto.
Hasto merupakan tersangka dalam kasus dugaan pengurusan pergantian antarwaktu (PAW) anggota DPR RI 2019—2024, dan perintangan penyidikan.
“Tadi pertanyaan-pertanyaannya terkait dengan sejak kapan saya masuk di tim penasihat hukum, dan bagaimana prosesnya,” ujar Febri usai menjalani pemeriksaan sebagai saksi, di Gedung Merah Putih KPK, Jakarta, Senin (14/4/2025).

Selain itu, dia mengatakan bahwa dirinya banyak berdiskusi dengan penyidik guna membahas tugas-tugas advokat.
“Saya menjelaskan beberapa aspek, misalnya tugas advokat itu bukan berarti membela secara membabi buta dan membenarkan yang salah atau sejenisnya, tetapi tugas advokat di sini adalah untuk membela hak dari klien, apakah dia tersangka ataupun terdakwa, secara profesional menurut hukum,” jelasnya.
Oleh sebab itu, dia mengatakan bahwa sumpah advokat yang tercantum dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2003 tentang Advokat (UU Advokat) turut dibahas dalam pemeriksaan tersebut.
“Ada salah satu sumpah di Undang-Undang Advokat bahwa advokat dilarang menolak perkara atau menolak memberikan pendampingan atau jasa hukum sepanjang itu menurut si advokat tersebut merupakan tanggung jawab profesionalnya,” ujarnya.

Ia melanjutkan,” Jadi, ada sumpah advokat yang sangat jelas, dan kami para lawyer, para advokat, dilarang untuk melanggar sumpah tersebut.”
