Bandung, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Menjelang pelaksaan Sistem Penerimaan Murid Baru (SPMB), Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Bandung tengah menyusun strategi agar memudahkan para calon siswa mendapatkan haknya menuntut ilmu.
Menurut Wali Kota Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, semua anak usai pendidikan di Kota Bandung harus mendapatkan haknya dengan baik.
“Dua hal yang harus menjadi konsen kita (Pemkot Bandung) yaitu kesempatan sekolah di semua lapisan dan pemberian subsidi di sekolah swasta,” kata Wali Kota Bandung, Muhammad Farhan di SD Assalam, Sabtu 5 April 2025.
Untuk itu, Fahran mengatakan, Pemkot Bandung akan mengklasifikasi sekolah swasta. Sekolah dengan klasifikasi rendah akan mendapatkan bantuan dari Pemkot Bandung.
Menurutnya, seperti sekolah swasta yang akreditasi A itu sudah mandiri. Predikat A yang diberikan kepada sekolah dengan nilai akreditasi 91–100, yang artinya amat baik.
Akreditasi ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah tersebut memiliki kualitas memadai dan sudah sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku.
“Akreditasi A itu bisa mandiri, nanti yang paling bawah (akreditasi) harus di subsidi, bayar SPP (Sumbangan Pembinaan Pendidikan),” katanya.

Untuk dana, Farhan menegaskan pemerintah terus berupaya untuk memaksimal pemberian subsidi tersebut.
“Uangnya kita cari. Karena diwajibkan anggaran pergeseran itu untuk ruang kelas baru. Kita upayakan untuk alokasi subsidi ini juga,” ungkapnya.
Farhan menilai, sekolah swasta bukan sekedar lembaga pendidikan tetapi juga wadah lapangan pekerjaan. Karena di sana ada kepala sekolah, guru, karyawan sampai pengelola kantin.
“Kita pertahanan agar lapangan pekerjaan ini tetap berjalan optimal. Karena dalam sekolah swasts itu ada pemilik yayasan, pegawai sekolah, para guru sampai kantin yang ada. Itu akan kita upayakan,” tuturnya.(yan/red)
