Dalam perkara tersebut Direktur Utama PT Pertamina (Persero) 2009-2014 Galaila Karen Kardinah atau Karen Agustiawan sebagai tersangka dan dilakukan penahanan pada pada Selasa (19/9).
Karen diduga mengakibatkan kerugian keuangan negara sekitar 140 juta dolar AS atau kurang lebih Rp2,1 triliun.
Kemudian, KPK pada Senin (6/11) mengumumkan telah memulai penyidikan dugaan tindak pidana korupsi penerimaan gratifikasi terkait tender pengadaan katalis di PT Pertamina (Persero).
KPK menyebut nilai gratifikasi dalam tindak pidana korupsi tersebut mencapai belasan miliar rupiah.
