JURNAL TIPIKOR – Memasuki hari tenang dan menjelang Hari Pemungutan Suara yang akan diselenggarakan pada tanggal 27 November 2024, seluruh elemen masyarakat diharapkan dapat menjaga stabilitas politik dan keamanan. Upaya ini penting dilakukan demi menjaga marwah demokrasi yang menjadi landasan dalam proses pemilihan kepala daerah serentak tahun ini.
Pengamat politik dan kebijakan publik, A. Tarmizi, menyampaikan hal ini kepada Jurnal Tipikor pada Sabtu, 23 November 2024. Menurutnya, situasi kondusif perlu dijaga agar masyarakat dapat menggunakan hak suaranya secara bebas dan bertanggung jawab.
A. Tarmizi juga menekankan pentingnya peran aktif masyarakat dalam menyukseskan Pilkada Serentak, serta berharap agar para kandidat dan pendukung dapat bersaing secara sehat, menjunjung tinggi etika politik, dan menghindari provokasi yang dapat menimbulkan perpecahan.
“Dalam konteks demokrasi, kita harus bersama-sama menjaga agar proses pemilihan ini berjalan dengan aman dan damai, demi masa depan daerah kita yang lebih baik,” ujar Tarmizi.
