Tarmizi mengungkapkan bahwa masalah kemiskinan, kemacetan, transportasi, stunting, pengelolaan sampah, dan pelayanan publik yang belum maksimal merupakan isu-isu krusial yang perlu segera ditangani.
Menurut Tarmizi, kemiskinan di kota Bandung masih menjadi tantangan signifikan yang memerlukan perhatian serius. Dia menekankan pentingnya program pemberdayaan ekonomi yang dapat meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat. “Kesiapan walikota terpilih dalam merumuskan dan melaksanakan kebijakan yang mengurangi angka kemiskinan akan sangat menentukan keberhasilan pemerintahan ke depan,” ujar Tarmizi.
Masalah kemacetan dan transportasi juga menjadi sorotan utama. Bandung, yang dikenal dengan kepadatan penduduk yang tinggi, membutuhkan inovasi dalam transportasi publik untuk mengurangi kepadatan lalu lintas dan meningkatkan mobilitas warga. “Pengembangan sistem transportasi yang integratif dan ramah lingkungan adalah langkah yang mendesak,” tambahnya.

Tarmizi juga mengungkapkan keprihatinan mengenai masalah stunting di kalangan anak-anak. Diperlukan kolaborasi antara pemerintah daerah dan berbagai pihak terkait untuk menciptakan program-program yang efektif dalam meningkatkan gizi dan kesehatan anak.
Selain itu, ia menyoroti tantangan pengelolaan sampah yang kian meningkat. “Penting untuk menggali solusi berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan sampah dan mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya kebersihan lingkungan,” kata Tarmizi.
Tarmizi juga menekankan bahwa pelayanan publik harus ditingkatkan agar lebih responsif terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat. “Inovasi dalam pelayanan publik akan meningkatkan kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap pemerintah,” tuturnya.
