WAJO, JURNAL TIPIKOR _ Kapolres Wajo Kapolres Wajo AKBP Muhammad Rosid Ridho, S.I.K menghadiri pengukuhan dan penambahan masa jabatan Kepala Desa dan Anggota Badan Permusyawaratan Desa (BPD) di Lapangan Merdeka Sengkang, Kabuparen Wajo.Senin (22/7/2024).
Rangkaian pengukuhan perpanjangan masa jabatan kepala Desa juga dihadiri urut Hadir, Pj. Bupati Wajo Drs. A. Bataralipu, M.Si, Ketua DPRD Kab. Wajo H. Andi Alauddin Palaguna, Kapolres Wajo AKBP Muhammad Rosid Ridho, S.I.K, Dandim 1406 Wajo Letkol Inf. Wahyu Yunus S.IP, Kepala Kejaksaan Negeri Wajo Andi Usama Harun, S.H.,M.H , Sekda Kab. Wajo Ir. Armayani M.Si, Ketua APDESI Provinsi Sri Rahayu Usmi, Kadis PMD Kab. Wajo Dra. Andi Liliana, M.Si, Camat Se Kab. Wajo, Kepala Desa Se Kab. Wajo, Anggota BPD Se Kab. Wajo dan Staf Dinas PMD Kab. Wajo.
Pj Bupati Wajo Andi Bataralifu dalam sambutannya menyampaikan, atas nama Pemerintah Kabupaten Wajo mengucapkan selamat kepada Saudara (i) Kepala Desa dan Anggota BPD yang sudah dikukuhkan untuk penambahan masa jabatan selama dua tahun, dari enam tahun menjadi delapan tahun sebagai tindaklanjut ketentuan Undang-undang nomor 3 tahun 2024 tentang perubahan kedua undang-undang nomor 6 tahun 2014 tentang desa semoga mendapat Ridho Allah SWT.
“Pengukuhan perpanjangan masa jabatan 2 tahun ini, merupakan bentuk kepastian hukum yang diberikan oleh pemerintah daerah terhadap kepala desa,” terang Andi Bataralifu.
Pj Bupati mengungkapkan, seiring dengan perubahan regulasi yang mengatur tentang desa, dimana desa saat ini tidak lagi hanya sebagai objek pembangunan, tetapi lebih dari itu desa saat ini mempunyai peran penting sebagai subjek pembangunan yang mempunyai hak dan kewenangan mengatur urusan rumah tangganya.
Konsekuensi dari hal itu, kata Bataralifu, desa diberikan dana yang cukup besar untuk dikelola dan dimanfaatkan sebesar-besarnya untuk kepentingan masyarakat desa.
“Dengan adanya undang-undang desa, desa memiliki potensi cukup besar didalam membuka peluang berkembangnya desa menjadi mandiri, maju dan sejahtera. Menuju desa yang mandiri, maju dan sejahtera tentu tidaklah mudah, oleh karena itu pengembangan desa memerlukan dukungan semua pihak termasuk anggota Badan Permusyawaratan Desa,” ujarnya.
Kapolres Wajo AKBP Muhammad Rosid Ridho menjelaskan bahwa kepala desa di Kabupaten Wajo resmi dikukuhkan sebanyak 136 orang dan 1.012 anggota Badan Permusyawaratan Desa, dikukuhkan dengan penambahan masa jabatan selama 2 tahun.
“136 Kepala Desa dan 1.012 anggota BPD yang dikukuhkan dengan diperpanjang dua tahun, sehingga masa jabatan yang sebelumnya enam tahun kini resmi menjadi delapan tahun” ujar Kapolres.
Dikatakannya juga bahwa hal tersebut didasarkan pada ketentuan Pasal 39 Ayat (1) dan Pasal 118 Huruf E Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2024 tentang perubahan kedua atas Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 tentang Desa, yang mengatur bahwa masa jabatan kepala desa dan BPD yang sebelumnya 6 tahun menjadi 8 tahun.
