JURNAL TIPIKOR – Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) Padang, Sumatra Barat (Sumbar) menyatakan dukungannya terhadap Kejaksaan Negeri Padang yang tengah menyidik kasus dugaan korupsi penyalahgunaan fasilitas pembatalan transaksi (void) pada electronic data capture (EDC) merchant Jaya Wisata Tour.
Regional CEO BRI Padang Moh Harsono dalam keterangan pers yang diterima di Padang, Minggu, mengatakan bahwa pihaknya menyerahkan penyelesaian kasus tersebut ke ranah hukum.
“BRI menyerahkan penyelesaian kasus sepenuhnya melalui ranah hukum, serta mengapresiasi pihak berwenang yang telah memproses laporan BRI sesuai dengan ketentuan peraturan perundangan,” terangnya.

Ia menceritakan kasus penyalahgunaan void EDC Merchant Jaya Wisata Tour yang kini disidik Kejari Padang berawal dari pengungkapan yang dilakukan oleh internal BRI.
Setelah melakukan pengungkapan, BRI melalui tim hukum langsung melaporkan kasus tersebut kepada pihak berwenang yang dalam hal ini adalah Kejaksaan.
Selain itu BRI juga telah memberikan sanksi tegas berupa pemecatan terhadap pelaku yang merupakan oknum pegawai bank berinisial FY, kini yang bersangkutan sudah berstatus sebagai tersangka.
“Langkah tegas ini merupakan komitmen BRI pada zero tolerance to fraud yang terus digalakkan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir,” katanya.

Ketua Tim Penyidik Syafri Hadi menjelaskan kasus itu adalah dugaan penyalahgunaan fasilitas void pada EDC (Electronic Data Capture) Merchant Jaya Wisata Tour milik PT BRI pada tahun 2019 sampai 2023.
Modus yang ditemukan Kejaksaan adalah tersangka membuat badan usaha yang bergerak di bidang biro perjalanan.
Kemudian pelaku mengirimkan dana dari satu rekening ke rekening lain, hanya saja ketika melakukan transfer tersebut ia memanfaatkan fasilitas pembatalan transaksi (void).
Akibat tindakan tersebut FY diuntungkan karena dana yang ditransfer tetap masuk ke rekening penerima, sedangkan penerima juga mendapatkan pengembalian dana dari bank setelah pembatalan (void).
