
WAJO, JURNAL TIPIKOR — Ketua Komisi II DPRD Kabupaten Wajo, Sudirman Meru mewakili pimpinan DPRD Wajo hadir menyaksikan tabur 1 juta 10 ribu benih Ikan Nila merupakan bantuan Pj. Gubernur Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel) Bahtiar Baharuddin.
Penaburan 1 juta 10 ribu benih ikan yang dilakukan secara simbolis oleh Pj Gubernur Bahtiar di TPI Empat Lima tersebut didampingi Bupati dan Wakil Bupati Wajo, Sekda Wajo, Kadis Perikanan dan Kelautan Propinsi Sulsel, Kadis Perikanan Wajo dan sejumlah Kepala OPD lainnya, Jumat (9/2/2024).
Setelan penaburan secara simbolis, Pj Gubernur, selanjutnya menyerahkan benih ikan kepada nelayan untuk ditebar di tengah Danau Tempe oleh para nelayan itu sendiri, termasuk Ketua Komisi II DPRD Wajo yang ikut ke tengah danau dan menabur langsung benih ikan nila.
“Ini merupakan sejarah bagi Wajo, karena baru kali ini ada bantuan dan penaburan sejuta benih ikan di Wajo,” ungkap Sudirman Meru.

Dengan adanya bantuan benih ikan ini, Politisi PAN Wajo ini menyampaikan apresiasi dan terima kasih kepada Pj Gubernur Sulsel yang telah memberikan perhatian besar terhadap masyarakat nelayan di Wajo.
“Khususnya pada para nelayan kita dan kelestarian ikan di Danau Tempe. Karena upaya seperti ini tidak hanya sebagai upaya pelestarian ikan danau tapi otomatis akan ikut meningkatkan taraf hidup dan kesejahteraan ekonomi masyarakat Wajo,” ungkapnya.
Sementara itu Pj Gubernur Sulsel, Bahtiar Baharuddin, mengatakan akan memberikan perhatian serius ke perikanan.
“Karena masyarakat Wajo ini kehidupannya dikelilingi oleh danau atau tappareng ,” kata Bahtiar, usai menyebar bibit ikan di Danau Tempe.
Diketahui sebelumnya, Penjabat Gubernur Sulsel Bahtiar Baharuddin, Bupati Wajo Amran Mahmud dan Ketua Komisi II DPRD Wajo dan jajaran Pemda Wajo, serta ribuan masyarakat sebelumnya mengikuti jalan sehat dan senam sehat bersama.
Menurut Bahtiar, kegiatan ini adalah salah satu cara memperkuat hubungan silaturahmi sekaligus menjaga kesehatan agar Sulsel tetap aman, damai dan sejuk jelang helatan Pileg dan Pillres.(JT/Wajo)
