Jenderal Kopassus ini memastikan langkah hard power merupakan jalan terakhir. Menurutnya selama ini TNI masih menggunakan pendekatan soft power.
“Kan saya sudah sampaikan bahwa penanganan papua kita harus smart power ya, menggunakan soft power, kalau hard power itu jalan terakhir,” ungkapnya.
Dalam kesempatan ini, Agus juga menyampaikan duka citanya atas gugurnya dua prajurit TNI Distrik Paro, Kabupaten Nduga, Papua Pegunungan.
