JURNAL TIPIKOR — Dalam rangka pemeliharaan kamtibmas dan menciptakan situasi keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat yang kondusif. Polsek Limbangan Polres Garut Polda Jabar melaksanakan operasi penertiban knalpot bising di Wilayah hukum Polres Garut Polda Jabar. Selasa (28/11/2023).
Kegiatan penertiban operasi knalpot bising tersebut dipimpin langsung oleh Kapolsek Limbangan Polres Garut Polda Jabar Kompol Uun Suhendra bersama anggota Polsek Limbangan Polres Garut Polda Jabar. Operasi penertiban knalpot tidak standard tersebut dilaksanakan di Jl. Raya Limbangan.
Polsek Limbangan Polres Garut Polda Jabar melakukan penindakan kepada 1 unit kendaraan roda dua yang memakai knalpot bising dan tidak dilengkapi surat-surat atau dokumen yang sah dalam berkendara.
Adapun dasar dilaksanakannya Operasi Penertiban Knalpot Bising berdasarkan UU No.2 tahun 2002 tentang Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia, UU No. 22 tahun 2009 tentang undang-undang lalu lintas dan angkutan jalan dan menindaklanjuti keluhan dari warga masyarakat tentang penggunaan knalpot bising.
Kabid Humas Polda Jabar Kombes Pol. Ibrahim Tompo S.I.K., M.Si memberi himbauan kepada pengendara roda dua untuk mengganti knalpot bising dengan knalpot standar, memberikan edukasi kepada pengendara tentang keselamatan dalam berlalu lintas, dan menghimbau agar pengendara tidak mengulangi perbuatan pelanggaran berlalu lintas.
“Untuk sementara kendaraan bermotor yang terjaring operasi penindakan knalpot bising akan diamankan ke Mapolsek Limbangan Polres Garut Polda Jabar untuk dilaksanakan pemeriksaan kepolisian lebih lanjut. Kami akan melakukan operasi knalpot brong hingga Kecamatan Limbangan terbebas dari knalpot brong” Tutup Kapolsek.
