JURNAL TIPIKOR —Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Yahya Cholil Staquf menilai upaya Polri melalui Operasi Nusantara Cooling System (NCS) cukup berhasil dalam mendinginkan suasana jelang pemilu 2024.
Hal itu disampaikan pria yang akrab disapa Gus Yahya ini usai menerima kunjungan Kepala Operasi NCS Polri, Irjen Asep Edi Suheri ke Kantor PBNU, Jalan Kramat Raya, Jakarta Pusat, Selasa (28/11/2023) siang. Ia beralasan berhasilnya upaya pihak kepolisian lantaran tidak ada gejolak masyarakat terkait dengan pesta demokrasi.
“Alhamdulilllah baru saja kami menerima kunjungan dari Mabes Polri yang bertugas untuk memelihara ketentraman dan ketenangan di tengah masyarakat ini dipimpin oleh pak Asep,” kata Gus Yahya.

“Saya bersyukur sekali sampai saat ini keadaan sangat kondusif di masyarakat. Ini berarti strategi dari aparat termasuk dari Polri dalam memelihara ketentraman cukup berhasil dan harus dilanjutkan karena ini sangat dibutuhkan apalagi pada saat politik sekarang ini,” sambungnya
Dirinya juga berharap tidak hanya untuk warga NU, namun seluruh masyarakat Indonesia bisa menjaga ketentraman, persatuan dan kesatuan jelang pesta demokrasi.
Setelah dari Kantor PBNU, Kaops NCS beserta rombongan bersilaturahmi ke Imam Besar Masjid Istiqlal KH Nasaruddin Umar di Masjid Istiqlal. Sama dengan perihal kunjungan ke Gus Yahya, Irjen Asep Edi meminta dukungan dan kerja sama untuk mengajak masyarakat Indonesia tetap menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa agar pemilu 2024 berjalan aman dan damai.

Nasaruddin menyerukan kepada masyarakat terutama umat Islam agar menikmati suasana pemilu ini dengan riang gembira. Sementara kepada tiga pasangan calon Capres dan Cawapres bisa bersaing secara objektif dan positif. Ia berharap tidak ada isu primordialisme dan rasial apalagi membawa-bawa politik identitas.
Dikatakannya, apa yang digagas agar pemilu 2024 berjalan aman dan damai harus didukung. “Kita mencari pemimpin yang baik dengan cara-cara yang baik. Saya imbau kepada umat Islam untuk mendoakan mari semoga pemimpin yang yang dipilih mampu menjalankan roda kepemipinan bangsa,” pungkasnya.(*)
