MKMK Berhentikan Anwar Usman sebagai Ketua Mk
Jurnaltipikor.com – Ketua Majelis Kehormatan Mahkamah Konstitusi (MKMK) Jimly Asshiddiqie (tengah) menyapa para pelapor usai sidang putusan etik di Gedung MK, Jakarta, Selasa (7/11/2023). MKMK menjatuhkan sanksi pemberhentian kepada Anwar Usman dari jabatan Ketua MK.
Majelis Kehormatan Mahkamah Konstitusi menyatakan Ketua hakim konstitusi Anwar Usman terbukti melanggar etik berat terkait konflik kepentingan dalam putusan MK soal syarat minimal usia capres-cawapres.
Ketua MKMK Jimly Asshiddiqie menyebut keputusan ini diambil setelah melakukan pemeriksaan terhadap Anwar dan mengumpulkan fakta serta pembelaan dari Anwar. Di antara sembilan hakim MK, Anwar diperiksa MKMK dua kali dalam dugaan pelanggaran etik ini.
Sebelumnya, MKMK juga memutuskan sembilan hakim MK melanggar etik secara kolektif terkait kebocoran informasi dalam proses Rapat Permusyawartan Hakim (RPH).
Usai membacakan putusan, Jimly yang telah menyatakan Anwar Usman melangar etik berat langsung dapat bendera merah putih dari pelapor.
Kasus dugaan pelanggaran etik di MKMK ini bermula dari putusan MK yang memperbolehkan orang yang berusia di bawah 40 tahun menjadi capres atau cawapres jika pernah atau sedang menjabat sebagai kepala daerah melalui pilkada.
Dalam putusan MK itu membuat putra sulung Presiden Jokowi, Gibran Rakabuming Raka bisa mendaftar sebagai Cawapres untuk mendampingi Prabowo Subianto di Pilpres 2024. [Suara.com]
