SIM Mati dapat diperpanjang asalkan memenuhi syarat berikut ini
Jakarta, Jurnaltipikor.com l Bagi yang merasa SIM mati, Poisi mengeluarkan kebijakan yakni SIM mati masih bisa diperpanjang besok. Tapi ini tak berlaku untuk semua SIM yang mati ya. Hanya SIM yang mati di tanggal berikut bisa perpanjangan besok.
Polisi memberikan dispensasi bagi pemilik SIM (Surat Izin Mengemudi) yang mati pada 28 September 2023 bisa diperpanjang pada 29 September 2023 tanpa membuat baru. Ya, 28 September 2023 merupakan hari Libur Nasional memperingati Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW 1445 H. Adanya libur nasional itu membuat pelayanan SIM turut diliburkan.
Dikutip dari laman TMC Polda Metro Jaya, pelayanan di Satpas Daan Mogot, Unit Satpas DKI Jakarta, Unit Gerai SIM dan Unit Simling DKI Jakarta diliburkan.

“Bagi pemegang SIM yang masa berlakunya habis pada tanggal 28 September 2023 dapat melaksanakan perpanjangan SIM pada tanggal 29 September 2023 dengan mekanisme perpanjangan,” demikian bunyi keterangannya.
Jangan sampai melewatkan kesempatan ini, pasalnya bila kamu telat memperpanjang maka harus mengikuti pembuatan SIM dengan mekanisme baru. Seperti diketahui bersama, SIM yang telat melakukan perpanjangan walaupun hanya lewat satu hari tetap harus membuat dengan mekanisme baru.
Hal itu tertuang dalam Peraturan Kepolisian nomor 5 tahun 2021 tentang Penerbitan dan Penandaan Surat Izin Mengemudi pasal 4, dijelaskan SIM yang lewat masa berlakunya harus diajukan penerbitan baru. Namun, ada pengecualian dalam keadaan kahar.

“SIM yang lewat dari masa berlakunya sebagaimana dimaksud pada ayat (1) dan ayat (2) karena Keadaan Kahar dapat:
a. dikecualikan terhadap ketentuan ayat (3), dan
b. dilakukan perpanjangan SIM berdasarkan Keputusan Kakorlantas Polri atas laporan dari Direktorat Lalu Lintas Kepolisian Daerah,” begitu bunyi pasalnya.
Untuk melakukan perpanjangan SIM, ada beberapa persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi pemohon. Lengkapnya sebagai berikut:
1. SIM lama
2. Kartu Tanda Penduduk (KTP)
3. Hasil RIKKES Jasmani
4. Hasil tes psikologi
5. Pas foto dengan latar biru, bukan foto selfie
6. Foto tanda tangan di atas kertas putih polos dengan tinta tebal
“Bagi pemegang SIM yang tidak melaksanakan perpanjangan SIM pada tanggal 29 September 2023, maka melaksanakan mekanisme penerbitan SIM baru,” demikian penjelasan TMC Polda Metro Jaya.
