LHOKSEUMAWE, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Bea Cukai Lhokseumawe melakukan pemusnahan barang bukti rokok ilegal
senilai Rp1,2 miliar, di halaman kantor setempat, Kamis, 6 Juli 2023.
Kepala Bea Cukai Lhokseumawe, Agus Siswadi mengatakan, rokok yang dimusnahkan tersebut sebanyak 1,176 juta batang, dengan hasil penindakan
operasi rokok ilegal sekitar 744 kali, dimana potensi kerugian negara mencapai Rp1,2 miliar.
“Operasi ini dilakukan sepanjang 2021 hingga 2022, bekerja sama dengan Kanwil D.JBC Aceh, POM TNI AD, Satpol PP, dan aparat penegak hukum lainnya, kata Agus saat konferensi pers.
Agus menambahkan, barang-barang tersebut diperoleh dari Lhokseumawe, Aceh Tengah, Bireuen, Bener Meriah, dan Aceh Utara.
Lanjut Agus, modus pelanggaran dilakukan atas peredaran rokok ilegal tersebut yakni menjual tanpa dilekati pita cukai (polos), dilekati pita cukai bekas atau pita cukai palsu. Atas peredaran tersebut, melanggar ketentuan peraturan perundang-undangan
di bidang cukai yaitu UU No 39 Tahun 2007 tentang Cukai.
“Upaya penindakan yang dilakukan bea cukai sendiri, selain dalam bentuk penegakan hukum, juga kesungguhan dan konsistensi direktorat jenderal bea cukai dalam menciptakan iklim usaha berkeadilan, persaingan usaha yang sehat dalam industri hasil tembakau, juga upaya pengamanan penerimaan negara di bidang cukai, ujarnya.
Dikatakan Agus, sebelumnya Bea Cukai selalu melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat serta turut dibantu oleh instansi terkait lainnya, untuk terus
memberikan pemahaman tentang pemakaian barang-barang yang tidak benar dalam hukum. Selain itu juga dapat membahayakan kesehatan masyarakatt itu sendiri.
“Sanksi untuk penjual, kita hanya mengambil barangnya saja dari toko, namun apabila nantinya ditemukan dengan jumlah besar maka akan kita bawa ke ranah pidana,” pungkasnya.
