Jakarta, JURNAL TIPIKOR –Kilas balik sejarah 25 Reformasi, tepatnya di bulan Mei 1998, dimana saat itu, hampir 1 bulan Gedung DPR/MPR RI diduduki oleh jutaan Mahasiswa dari seluruh pelosok negeri, bahkan tersiar kabar TNI (ABRI) dikabarkan terpecah dalam menyikapi tuntutan reformasi yang di dengungkan mahasiswa.
Setelah rangkaian peristiwa kekerasan, mulai dari penculikkan para aktivis mahasiswa yang pro-demokrasi, dengan sikap aparat rezim yang semakin mengeras. Aksi-aksi mahasiwa pun semakin masif dan keras, namun juga ditanggapi dengan keras oleh aparat keamanan, hingga menimbulkan banyaknya jatuh korban jiwa menimpa mahasiswa yang dikenal dengan Tragedi Trisakti.
Kondisi ini semakin menyulitkan posisi elit kekuasaan saat itu, terutama sejak Pius Lustrilanang (Sekjen ALDERA) dilepas oleh para penculiknya, namun dia ngotot untuk membuka dan membeberkan ikhwal penculikan kepada publik dan dunia. Rezim akhirnya pecah ditandai semakin banyaknya para mentri kabinet yang mundur, keadaan ini pada tanggal 21 Mei 1998 memaksa Presiden Soeharto menyikapi kenyataan, bahwa situasi politik sudah jauh berbeda dan akhirnya menyatakan mundur dari jabatan presiden.
Mahasiswa dan beberapa kelompok Pro-Demokrasi tentunya bersuka cita tuntutan awal perjuangan mereka berhasil dengan melengserkan Presiden Soeharto yang telah berkuasa selama 32 tahun lamanya.
Puncaknya, ketika krisis ekonomi dan moneter yang makin parah, Namun tidak sedikit yang masih tidak yakin dengan lengsernya simbol kekuatan rezim orde Baru tersebut hingga terealisasinya tuntutan lain yakni perjuangan utama reformasi khususnya membentuk pemerintahan yang demokratis melalui Pemilu, Pencabutan UU Dwi Fungsi ABRI/TNI, cabut paket UU Politik, stabilisasi ekonomi, mahasiswa tetap bertahan untuk terus menyuarakan kepastian langkah-langkah reformasi segera dilakukan dengan menawarkan opsi pemerintahan transisi yang beragam, mulai dari Pembentukan Pemerintahan Transisi Revolusioner hingga yang paling moderat, karena bisa jadi situasi berubah kembali dimana kekuatan-kekuatan rezim otoritarian mengkonsolidasikan kembali kekuatannya.
Harganya? Situasi sangat penuh dengan ketidakpastian. Bahkan Panglima TNI/ABRI saat itu menyatakan sumpah setianya untuk menjaga keselamatan dan keluarga presiden yg kehilangan kekuasaan tersebut, dan TNI/Polri baru bisa melepaskan cengkraman Dwi Fungsi-nya setelah Periode Pemerintahan Gus Dur.
ALDERA dan Relevansi Menjaga Demokrasi.
Aktifis ALDERA yang kini banyak tersebar di berbagai palagan mulai dari Aparat Sipil Negara (ASN) di instansi pemerintahan, sebagai politisi di berbagai partai, ada yang menjadi wakil rakyat di parlemen, pejabat lembaga tinggi negara, ornop, profesional, wirausaha dll merasa terpanggil untuk tetap menjaga keberlangsungan demokrasi Indonesia dan konstitusi yang mereka perjuangkan sejak 1993-1999 hingga sekarang.
ALDERA yang kini mengubah gaya dan arah perjuangan di era reformasi sekarang membentuk Yayasan Aldera, kekuatannya lebih menitik beratkan pada ” Pendidikan Kader Demokrasi ” bagi kaum muda milenial dan Gen-Z yang situasi kekiniannya telah berubah sesuai zamannya dibandingkan 25 tahun yang lalu. Namun bukti bahwa generasi muda masih terlihat memiliki idelisme dan semangat kritis masih nampak terlihat. Hal ini nampak dalam setiap “Bedah Buku ALDERA Potret Gerakan Politik Kaum Muda 1993-1999” yang dilakukan ALDERA bekerjasama dengan KOMPAS di 38 kampus yang tersebar di 26 provinsi dan berbagai kota di Tanah Air selama kurun waktu 7 bulan sejak terbitnya buku tersebut telah mendapatkan sambutan luar biasa oleh ribuan mahasiswa milenial dan Gen-Z alih2 para akdemisi, pejabat pemerintahan, politisi dan masyarakat umum. Puncak dari kegiatan ALDERA berupa kegiatan Jalan Sehat yang dengan tema Reformasi Memanggil, Bersatu Sehati Menjaga Demokrasi. Aldera menganggap penting menyampaikan “Politik Nilai” tetap bermakna kepada masyarakat luas seperti Demokrasi, Pembatasan Masa Jabatan Eksekutif, dan Menjaga konstitusi, yakni bentuk kegiatan kolosal mengenang Reformasi 1998 dengan bentuk Jalan Sehat yang dilakukan hari Munggu, 21 Mei 2023 di Halaman Gedung DPR RI yang dihadiri oleh 25.000 orang, sebagai kegiatan Peringatan Reformasi terbesar di tanah air dalam kurun waktu 25 tahun ini.
Dalam orasinya di acara tersebut mantan Sekjen Aldera Pius Lustrilanang menekankan pentingnya merawat persatuan di tengah perbedaan masyarakat yang beragam saat ini, mengingat masyarakat Indonesia sangat mudah terfragmentasi oleh isu-isu politik jangka pendek terkait pilpres termasuk ide liar kelompok tertentu yang masih menggaungkan Perpanjangan Masa Jabatan Presiden 3 Periode, pileg, pilkada bahkan perselisihan di tengah masyarakat yang dipicu oleh isu SARA dan politik identitas.
Adapun terkait Peringatan ini, Aldera mengusulkan agar tanggal 21 Mei diperingati khusus sebagai Hari Reformasi agar generasi muda tetap dapat merawat ingatan perjuangan generasi sebelumnya.
Kini setelah 25 tahun, kita mengenang kembali perjuangan mereka yang telah berjuang dengan penuh romantika dan senyum indah, bahwa apa yg kita lakukan tidak sia-sia untuk Demokrasi, walau masih banyak PR tuntutan reformasi yang harus dilakukan dalam periode-periode sekarang hingga selanjutnya hingga setelah 25 tahun reformasi ini.
