Serang, JURNAL TIPIKOR – Kapolda Banten Irjen Pol Prof. Dr Rudy Heriyanto menginstruksikan jajarannya melaksanakan tindakan tegas dan terukur terhadap pelaku kejahatan Bajing Loncat yang meresahkan pemudik di tengah situasi mudik lebaran tahun 2023.
Kabid Humas Polda Banten Kombes Pol Didik Heriyanto menyampaikan perintah langsung Kapolda Banten. “Bajing Loncat termasuk street crime ini tidak hanya membahayakan jiwa masyarakat, namun juga jiwa personel yang bertugas di lapangan. Maka untuk menghentikan bahaya yang ditimbulkan itu, diperintahkan jajarannya untuk berani bertindak tegas dan terukur atau tembak di tempat,” ucap Didik.
Perintah kapolda telah disampaikan ke seluruh jajaran saat pelaksanaan apel gelar pasukan Operasi Ketupat 2023. “Personel jangan ragu gunakan senjata api yang dimiliki guna menghentikan ancaman yang membahayakan keselamatan masyarakat dan personel sendiri,” kata Didik.

Penggunaan senjata api oleh personel kepolisian dapat direalisasikan untuk melindungi keselamatan orang lain, digunakan saat membela diri dan orang lain dari ancaman kematian dan luka berat, mencegah terjadinya kejahatan yang mengancam jiwa orang lain.
Tindakan tegas dan terukur ini, sambungnya juga menjadi preventive-strike personel Polda Banten untuk mencegah timbulnya korban jiwa dan korban luka dari warga. “Sepanjang kita pedomani Perkap tersebut personel Polda Banten tidak perlu takut selagi dalam rangka melaksanakan tugas, petugas kepolisian juga dilindungi UU yaitu Pasal 50 KUHP,” tambah Didik.
Sebagaimana diketahui beredar pemberitaan tentang aksi Bajing Loncat yang terjadi di Jalan lingkar Selatan (Bidhumas).
