Kodam II Sriwijaya Siap Kerja Sama Dan Supot Kegiatan IWO Provinsi
Palembang, JURNAL TIPIKOR— Kodam II/Sriwijaya, menyatakan siap bekerjasama dalam mewujudkan iklim media yang beradab. Hal itu dikatakan Kasdam II/Swj Brigjen TNI Ruslan Effendy, S.I.P., mewakili Pangdam II/Sriwijaya saat menerima Efran, Ketua terpilih Ikatan Wartawan Online (IWO) Sumsel periode 2022-2027 dan jajarannya, di ruang kerjanya, Senin 26/06 2023).
Pernyataan Kasdam II/Sriwijaya ini merespon penjelasan Efran, dan IWO Sumsel yang menggagas perlunya kerjasama program IWO Sumsel dan Kodam II Sriwijaya dalam peningkatan kualitas peradaban media.
Pentingnya hal ini, menurut Efran, wartawan sebagai aktor intelektual dalam menulis berita harus banyak mengetahui tentang kemiliteran, bukan sebatas dari luarnya, melainkan diperlukan pengetahuan mendalam tentang nilai-nilai kemiliteran.
“Harapan kami, dengan pengetahuan tentang nilai-nilai kemiliteran, semangat perjuangan TNI yang diketahui ini, nantinya bisa menjadi pelajaran bagi para wartawan, terutama yang berkaitan dengan upaya meningkatkan ketahanan nasional melalui media,” ujar Efran, ketika dijumpai usai auidiensi, Senin (26 Juni 2023).

Bentuk kerjasama ini, menurut Erfran, IWO Sumsel dan Kodam II/Sriwijaya akan melakukan pendidikan jurnalistik berbasis militer, baik yang bersifat transfer konwledge (pengetahuan) atau juga transfer skill (keahlian) TNI, seperti tentang survival (daya bertahan hidup) di tengah perjuangan.
“Bentuk pelatihan ini, nantinya bisa dengan diskusi dan juga outbond, yang langsung dibina oleh TNI dari Kodam II Sriwijaya,” tambah Efran.
Kegiatan ini tidak sedang menciptakan wartawan menjadi tentara. Tetapi untuk berbagi pengetahuan antara wartawan dan aparat TNI. Sebab, antara wartawan dan aparat memiliki kesamaan, yang harus berjuang keras untuk bangsa, baik secara fisik dan juga intelektual.
“Program ini bukan memaksa wartawan menjadi militer, bukan! Tetapi lebih kepada penguatan pengetahuan, wawasan wartawan tentang kemiliteran juga pendidikan fisik, yang diperlukan wartawan ketika melakukan tugas jurnallistik,” ujarnya.

Pada audiensi itu, Kasdam II/Sriwijaya merespon positif tentang rencana itu. Kasdam II/Sriwijaya menyebutkan, pihaknya sangat terbuka untuk bekerjasama dengan IWO Sumsel, dalam pendidikan wartawan yang berbasis militer.
Kasdam II/Sriwijaya juga mengemukakan, melalui audiensi ini, antara IWO Sumsel dan Kodam II/Sriwijaya akan lebih bisa saling mengenal. Harapannya, di masa mendatang Kodam II/Sriwijaya dan IWO Sumsel bisa melakukan kerjasama, melalui program pengembangan dan peningkatan peradaban media di Sumsel, yang tetap diselaraskan dengan program Kodam II/Sriwijaya.
Audiensi IWO Sumsel ini dilakukan, untuk mengundang Pagdam II/Sriwijaya, beriring dengan rencana pelantikan pengurus IWO Sumsel periode 2022-2023, yang akan digelar pada 4 Juli 2023 di Ruang Bina Praja Pemerintah Provinsi Sumsel.
