Upacara tersebut dihadiri, Bupati Sukabumi, Drs. H. Asep Japar, M.M., Wakil Bupati Sukabumi, H. Andreas, S.E., Forkopimda Kabupaten/Kota, Forkopimcam Parungkuda, Para Veteran, dan para tamu undangan lainnya.
Kadisdik Kabupaten Sukabumi, Deden Sumpena, menyampaikan bahwa Peringatan Hari Juang Siliwangi merupakan sebuah momentum sakral untuk mengenang nilai-nilai luhur perjuangan para pahlawan bangsa. Khususnya, peristiwa heroik dimana para pejuang dari Divisi Siliwangi bersama Rakyat bahu membahu mempertahankan kemerdekaan. Dimana, perjuangan tersebut berprinsip pada semangat dari rakyat bersama rakyat dan untuk rakyat.
“Peringatan Hari Juang Siliwangi ini adalah momentum sakral bagi kita semua untuk mengenang nilai-nilai luhur perjuangan para pahlawan bangsa khususnya di tanah pasundan,” ucapnya.
Deden Sumpena pun memaknai Hari Juang Siliwangi sebagai simbol patriotisme dan juga perjuangan rakyat dalam melawan para penjajah. Ia pun mengajak kepada kita semua khususnya generasi muda dan para pelajar, agar selalu dapat menghidupkan semangat juang para pahlawan dalam mengisi kemerdekaan.
“Hari Juang Siliwangi merupakan simbol patriotisme dan perjuangan. Semangat juang para pahlawan harus diterjemahkan dalam ikhtiar bersama yakni menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan, mendorong inovasi dan prestasi, serta melestarikan sejarah,” jelasnya.
Deden Sumpena berharap, agar kita semua dapat menjadikan momentum ini sebagai salahsatu momen untuk menumbuhkan semangat cinta tanah air dan juga tanggungjawab sebagai warga negara.
