Jurnaltipikor.com – Ketua DPRD Kota Bandung, H. Tedy Rusmawan, AT., M.M mengapresiasi akan hadirnya kolam retensi di Kompleks Bandung Inten Indah. Kolam retensi terbaru ini dapat meminimalisir banjir ketika musim penghujan di Kota Bandung, khususnya bagian timur.
Kolam retensi tersebut memiliki volume sekitar 5.400 meter kubik, dengan daya tampung sekitar 4.000 meter kubik.
“Ini posisinya strategis, mengurangi banjir di kawasan Derwati, Riung Bandung, dan Kompleks Adipura. Jadi menahan, juga mengalirkan,” ujarnya, seusai meresmikan kolam retensi, di Kompleks Bandung Indah Inten, Bandung, Rabu (8/11/2023).

Menurut Tedy, persiapan kolam retensi tersebut cukup maksimal karena sudah bisa digunakan sebelum memasuki musim penghujan di Kota Bandung.
“Kita apresiasi kerja kerasnya dan ini bisa selesai sebelum musim hujan. Jadi sangat tepat waktunya, selesai sebelum musim penghujan datang dengan intensitas hujan yang tinggi,” ujarnya.
Tedy menerangkan persoalan banjir merupakan pekerjaan rumah dari Pemkot Bandung, sehingga berbagai teknologi dapat diupayakan, salah satunya yakni kolam retensi.
“Mudah-mudahan penanganan banjir di Kawasan Bandung Timur, seperti Rancasari dan Gedebage bisa terselesaikan dengan perencanaan yang matang. Ke depan tidak lagi mendengar banjir di Kawasan Bandung Timur,” ujarnya.
Pada kesempatan yang sama, Pj Wali Kota Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono mengajak masyarakat untuk bersama-sama menjaga kolam retensi tersebut.
“Ini merupakan upaya Pemkot Bandung dalam mengurangi potensi banjir di kawasan ini, dengan dukungan dari DPRD Kota Bandung tentunya,” ujarnya.
